Full description
If you’re a fan of the TV show Doc Martin, this fully guided walking tour will take you around the fictional Cornish seaside village of Portwenn. In reality, it is filmed on location in Port Isaac, a small and picturesque fishing village on the Atlantic coast of north Cornwall. Now in its seventh series and popular with fans around the world, this Doc Martin tour is the best way to see the main locations from the show which first aired in 2004. The walking tour is led by a local who has been involved in the filming of Doc Martin itself as an extra and shares many anecdotes about the filming of this show.  Locations from the show that you will see include the Doc’s house and surgery, Louisa’s school, Mrs Tishell’s pharmacy and much more. However, the village itself has a long and fascinating history dating back to King Henry VIII and your guide will show you hidden village paths, historical buildings, beautiful views and give you an insight into local life. There will be plenty of photo opportunities along the way.

The reason I gave it 4 stars, was purely the cost through GYG. If you go direct it is £3.50 cheaper. The guide was brilliant, he has been in some episodes of Doc Martin, and he was able to answer all questions put to him. He is a local, and lives in Port Isaac. Highly recommended tour. Book direct.

Well worth the time, effort and money, a must

Port Isaac is stunning and yes you can experience the Village by yourself but this tour offers so much more, we were taken around by someone who’s not only a local but an actor who’s been in Doc Martin, his knowledge is excellent, and explains not only the locations used, which characters lived or work where but also the history of the village through the ages, there are so many extra hidden secrets that on your own you would definitely miss. Thanks so much was excellent

A must for visitors to Port Isaac and fans of the tv show. Takes you round a host of familiar locations from Doc Martin in addition to hearing fascinating snippets about the filming and the actors and the actresses relationship with the village. Also, lots of interesting info about life in Port Issac past and present.Dave Morgan is an exceptional tour guide and it was a pleasure and a privilege to have him lead the way.I was actually late having mis read the start time of the tour. However Dave very kindly gave me a one on one personal tour of what I had missed. A delightful experience overall leaving me with very fond memories of Port Isaac, the Doc Martin tour and not least Dave Morgan who I would like to extend my heartiest appreciation to.
