What people are saying about Launceston
Relaxing way to see a beautiful part of the state.
From pick up to drop off, our guide Steven was considerate of the needs of his group. The trip was educational, relaxed and a wonderful opportunity to see this part of the coast without the stress of working out an itinerary on my own. History, flora and fauna were all covered and advice on how the day would unfold was provided from the beginning. The website gave an outline of what to bring so no hidden surprises and I set off feeling prepared for a great day out and about.
We were not able to get a pick up confirmation about time or location, (calls not answered emails not replied too) fortunately the hotel staff knew about the tour and told us they did indeed pick up at our hotel. So we only had to wait for about 30 minutes. Other than that it was great. The ride was broken down with several stops for snacks and restroom breaks. The walk to the overlook isn’t terrible, but it isn’t a leisurely stroll either, so bring water and wear sneakers.
We, ( my husband and I), were the oldest by a long way on the tour from Launceston. Our guide, Rod, was early picking us up and everyone was waiting at the designated spot. Only eight or nine on the minibus, which was rather elderly.
Amazing Activity! Rod and Connor our guides were very knowledgable. Picked us up at the hotel in Launceston and dropped us off right in Hobart. Good way to do the transfer as you get to visit Wineglass Bay on the way.
An alternative way to travel from Launceston to Hobart
A great day-tour from Launceston to Hobart; an easy walk up to the Wineglass Lookout, however, the weather was so foggy that the wineglass bay could hardly be seen.
