  • Reykjavik Hop-On Hop-Off Tour: 24 or 48-Hour Ticket

    1. Reykjavik Hop-On Hop-Off Tour: 24 or 48-Hour Ticket

A modern, trendy and forward-looking city that is at the same time rooted in nature, Reykjavik offers the best of both worlds and is a magical place to visit. Your 24 or 48-hour ticket gives you access to the city on a hop-on hop-off tour with on-board multi-lingual commentary. Mount Esja keeps lookout over this northernmost capital, and on a sunny day the mystical Snaefellsjokull glacier appears crystal-like and baby-blue on the western horizon. Take in sites such as the Reykjavik harbor, the Town Hall, the National Gallery of Iceland, the Pearl Hallsgrimschurch, and the Laugardalur thermal pools and spa. The tour stops along the route are as follows:  1- Harpa Concert Hall  2- The Old Harbour 3 - Viking Maritime Museum 4 - Whales of Iceland 5 - National Museum 6 - Laekjargata 7 - Laugavegur Shopping Street 8 - Reykjavik Art Museum 9 - Hallgrimskirkja 10 - BSI Bus Terminal 11 - Perl...

It is actually a small selling tour which gives you ideas where to spend more money and gives you a bit of historic facts. So we went and spent more money on fun stuff we saw from the hopp on hop off. The driver was very nice!

  • Reykjavik City Sightseeing by Minibus

    2. Reykjavik City Sightseeing by Minibus

Take a trip to visit the most significant places in the capital and surrounding towns. Journey to visit the presidential residence at Bessastaðir and the town of Hafnarfjörður, where you will learn of how the “hidden people” and humans live together in harmony. Next visit Reykjavik to enjoy the spectacular views at the restaurant Perlan, which is built on water tanks holding the city’s hot water supply. Afterwards it’s on to Höfði house, where the all-important meeting between former U.S. President Ronald Reagan and former U.S.S.R. Secretary General Mikhail Gorbachev took place in 1986. Then visit the ancient Hallgrímskirkja church and the old town centre. You will find that the Icelandic parliament, Alþingi, and the town hall are situated here. The final stop of the day will take you to the sports and recreation area in Laugardalur. Here you can explore the impressive geothermal heate...

The tour guide was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable and fun. I lost one of my gloves at the Globe and he offered to try to get it when he went back with his afternoon tour. Well he did find it and personally dropped it back at my hotel. I don’t remember his name but my tour was on Wed morning on March 11. He was also multi-lingual and gave his tour in several languages accommodating everyone by speaking their language. Whoever gets my tour guide will be blessed.

Great experience. Definitely worth doing, gives you the chance to see the city first and then go round again and decide what you want to look at. Pick up/drop off from the stops every 30 minutes or so.

Great way to see the highlights of Reykjavik, don't forget to pick up the ear phones as you enter the bus to listen to the audio guide!

The tour was very interesting. German was also offered as the language.

Nice to be driven around though not a lot to see in city.
