Las Vegas: Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend

Las Vegas: Balloon Ride Over Mojave Desert

2. Las Vegas: Balloon Ride Over Mojave Desert

Meet your pilot and crew approximately 90 minutes prior to sunrise. It's an early start, but seeing the sunrise and scenery from a hot air balloon is an experience like none other. From the local partner's check-in office, you'll transfer to the launch field in Pahrump, an hour west of the Las Vegas Strip. Upon take-off, there is no sensation of movement, rather one of the ground dropping away. During the flight, which lasts 45-60 minutes, you will have spectacular birds-eye views of the Spring and Nopah Mountain Ranges, breathtaking views of Death Valley, and far-reaching views into Eastern California. As you drift silently and peacefully over the countryside, watch for desert wildlife, take that all-important selfie, and talk with envious onlookers down below. Upon landing, participate in a traditional champagne toast, hear the story of how hot air ballooning began, and how it led to modern-day aviation as we know it. Hot air ballooning is truly a bucket list item and something you must do during your visit to Las Vegas. Get away from the hustle and bustle of the Strip and come on a journey that will take your breath away. You should plan to be away for up to 6 hours in total, allowing for check-in, travel to the launch location, safety briefing, set-up and pack-up of the balloon as well as the return drive back to your original meeting location.

What people are saying about Las Vegas

We took the private tour. Tomo and Kaiko were our guides - both very polite, professional and knowledgeable. Went to horshoe bend first, and Tomo took some great pictures for us! On to Antelope Canyon, where we were handed off to local guides. We walked through Antelope Canyon X and this was by far the best and most fascinating part of the tour. The colours and shapes of the smooth limestone are just incredible. Then a quick stop for lunch, which was tasty but a very basic sandwich crisps and cookie. There was a store to buy additional items though. Then onto the Grand Canyon, where we had 2 different view point stops, and more picture opportunity. Then back to our hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. As we were a private tour, Tomo allowed us to stop where we requested for dinner, so long as timing allowed. Overall an awesome tour and top credit again to Tomo and Kaiko for their service and flexibility. Only downside - a tad on the expensive side.

We had a long 18-hour day, but it was worth every minute! Stopped at Antelope Canyon first (90 mins), Horseshoe Bend (30 mins), then two stops along the Grand Canyon (20 mins). Lots of bathroom/coffee stops, and lots of napping in the van during the long drives. Also stopped at a Trading Post for souvenirs, and had a boxed-lunch stop. The guide was knowledgeable and humorous, and has a co-driver who switches driving duties (for those of us who worry about the driver falling asleep - no worries here!). Only disappointment was such a short time at the 2nd stop along the Grand Canyon (Angel Lodge) which was only 10 mins. I've been there before so I was fine with that, but it was my friends 1st time and she felt a bit rushed. All in all, it was a great time, and by the end of the day, you've made 8 new friends and have seen some of the country's most beautiful sights.

Truly wonderful experience, Makii amd Hann our drivers (they alternated every 2 hours for safety) were amazing, they kept us informed of everything from history to local anecdotes, local traditions and laws regarding our presence especially in Navajo territory during the whole journey. They helped with photos on all the memorable stops, our lunch was very much appreciated and we were also given a bottle of water. A terrific experience with this tour company that is highly recommended.... Cant wait to do this again.

This tour was amazing! We covered a lot in a short amount of time and it was absolutely incredible. The only thing I will warn is that there’s no bathrooms at Antelope Canyon

It was an amazing tour with very beautiful sightseeing places. Hank and Ryoko were amazing guides.
