Full description
Swap the lights of Las Vegas for one day on a nature day trip and guided kayaking adventure in nearby Arizona. Travel to beautiful Willow Beach, surrounded by steep canyon walls along the Colorado River, the site of your kayaking activity. A great escape into rugged nature for the day. Start with a hotel pickup from the Las Vegas Strip. After arriving at Willow Beach Marina, get fitted for your kayak and away you go with your guide. Paddle north on the crystal clear Colorado River while your guide points out wildlife and geological features in your surroundings. Arrive at the Emerald Cave about 2 miles in — explore the grotto-syle cave with pristine green colored waters. Remember your waterproof camera, you’ll need it. Next, take a short 1-mile hike to visit the historical site of the River Gauger's Home that overlooks the river for a great photo opportunity and amazing views. Here your guide will share history about the River Gaugers. After a quick pit stop for some snacks and refreshments, head back to the river with cool, flowing water that stays at 12 degrees all year round. Soak up the picturesque natural attractions as you meander your way back to your launching point, before catching your ride back to Sin City.

Communication was excellent. Trip was exactly as described with a few nice surprises. Bring EXTRA cash to tip your guide. Ours took and shared excellent photos for us and we didn’t anticipate that when we tucked a tip in an envelope before the trip. Hope to book same guide for another trip with River Dogz or Trail Dogz in the future! Thanks for a fabulous day, Nick! Very happy with So much so we’ve already recommended to a few different people :) Pro tips: Also bring sunscreen, water shoes and be ready to paddle!

We had such a fun trip. We had Preston as our guide and he made it even better. Im eight months pregnant and he really made me feel cared about, making sure I wasn't getting exhausted and making sure I stayed hydrated (as well as making sure the rest of the group was doing okay and staying hydrated as well!). Overall definitely worth the money of going. My advice is to bring a hat, shoes for walking on land and in water, and sunscreen!!!!! The entire trip was about 6-7 hours, including about an hour drive time each way to the river. Cave wasnt as big as I expected it to be, you had to stay in your kayaks and wasn't a lot of room to explore, but the sight was beautiful and the water was so green and it shimmered on the caves wall. Awesome experience.

This was hands down just AMAZING! I’m not athlete at all and this was pretty easy once you got the hang of it. The river was beautiful and out guide Kylie was funny and very informative about the history. Definitely wear sandals and either shorts or joggers you can pull up to your mid calf. My husband and I showed up in sneakers and walking barefoot on the rocks to get on and off the kayaks was not fun hahah I can’t wait until I come back and I will definitely bring my family! Also side note. I totally regretted not getting a double kayak (since I’m never really physically active) I’m already so sore hahah sooo if you’re like me and you haven’t been active in a while, if you have a partner I 100% suggest getting a kayak with two seats. It’ll just be so much easier hahah
