Top 10 things to do in Las Vegas
Call it Sin City if you want, but there's no denying that the Entertainment Capital of the World has a unique allure. After all, it took a lot more than seedy clichés to make Las Vegas one of the world's leading tourist destinations!
1. Las Vegas Helicopter Tours
Vegas isn't a place to be enjoyed on the cheap! Set the tone for extravagance with Helicopter tours of the city's kitsch architecture and surrounding desert landscapes.
2. Death Valley
Death Valley, the hottest corner of North America, may be ominously named but its beauty is quite humbling, and it even blooms in spring. Just bring plenty of water!
3. Las Vegas Strip
The Las Vegas Strip boasts many of the world's largest hotels and casinos, all hosting their own dazzling shows. Take the scenic route by limo!
4. Fountains of Bellagio
The choreographed fountains in front of the Bellagio hotel "dance" every 15 minutes from 8pm till midnight (and every 30 in the afternoons)!
5. Mirage Volcano
The huge volcano in front of the Mirage hotel is another attraction in the same vein. It erupts on the hour from 8pm till midnight and, oddly, smells like pina coladas!
6. Las Vegas Motor Speedway
If gambling in the casinos isn't enough to set your pulse racing then how about zipping around the thrilling Motor Speedway in a luxury sports car?
7. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area
You might be able to see the canyon's breathtaking red rock formations from your hotel window but getting up close to the Red Rock Canyon is a must for avid hikers, rock climbers, and mountain bikers!
8. Hoover Dam Bypass
The Hoover Dam Bypass is actually called the Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, but neither name really does justice to this spectacular feat of engineering!
9. Hoover Dam
Did somebody say feat of engineering? The Hoover Dam's art-deco design is impressive inside and out, although the exterior's breathtaking enormity is truly something to behold.
10. Stratosphere Tower
The tallest freestanding observation tower in the US offers the best views in Las Vegas, as well as a revolving restaurant and four terrifying amusement rides!
Planning Your Visit
When to go?
Unless you have a high tolerance for heat, plan your trip either side of summer. If you want to avoid the crowds then visit during the week.
How to get around?
From cabs and double-decker buses to helicopters and the Las Vegas monorail, the city has no shortage of ways to travel. Just remember that everything gravitates towards the Strip.
How to dress?
Women shouldn't have a problem but male dress codes differ for nightclubs so it's worth checking them online. Generally speaking though, a shirt and decent shoes go a long way.
How to win?
You're on your own there! Good luck!

What people are saying about Las Vegas
I loved that they were able to pick me up from my hotel on the strip. The buses were comfortable and clean. They agreed to the mask mandate. Dierk was our guide and he was simple fantastic. He was funny and full of cool facts and knowledge. Going to Eagle Point, walking the Skywalk and Guano Point will forever be some of my top experiences. It's just mesmerizing. I paid $65 extra to the cashier's at Skywalk bridge to purchase 20 photos their staff took with professional cameras. Well worth it. You can preview the pics and choose to buy singles too. They used professional cameras. Our tour group made adequate stops on the way to the canyon and back for pictures along the way at Joshua Tree forest and for restroom breaks. The breakfast provided included fruit, muffins, breakfast bar and OJ or water. It was plenty for me. Lunch was choice of various sandwiches you choose ahead of time. It was better than expected. In summary, I HIGHLY recommend this tour.
This was hands down just AMAZING! I’m not athlete at all and this was pretty easy once you got the hang of it. The river was beautiful and out guide Kylie was funny and very informative about the history. Definitely wear sandals and either shorts or joggers you can pull up to your mid calf. My husband and I showed up in sneakers and walking barefoot on the rocks to get on and off the kayaks was not fun hahah I can’t wait until I come back and I will definitely bring my family! Also side note. I totally regretted not getting a double kayak (since I’m never really physically active) I’m already so sore hahah sooo if you’re like me and you haven’t been active in a while, if you have a partner I 100% suggest getting a kayak with two seats. It’ll just be so much easier hahah
A great experience! The tour guide was knowledgeable, interactive, and energetic. Gave facts about Las Vegas and attractions along the drive. We made a quick stop when he saw some wildlife so we could watch and take pictures. We made four or five stops throughout the tour to look around and take pictures. The stops had bathroom amenities, if needed. A little snack was provided half way through. Bottle water and one of a small Pringles, fruit snack, or Chex Mix. Guide had a lot of hand sanitizer available for anyone to use. All riders wore masks the whole time. I highly recommend this experience and this tour guide company.
This was the BEST experience ever. Matt and Kevin were great tour guides. They helped us get so many great photos and build memories. Our original tour canceled on us last minute, and boy am I glad they did! I booked after 6pm the day before and thankfully Max Tours was able to accommodate us. They were extremely punctual, professional and the van is super clean and well maintained with hand sanitizers. With stops at seven magic mountains, Hoover dam, and Grand Canyon.. plus a few bonus stops for great photos! I definitely recommend Max Tours to EVERYONE. 10/10. Thank you so much for making our trip so memorable!
A great way to spend a few hours away from the strip. After realizing our AM session would not be possible, (Vegas) EzRide graciously allowed us to reschedule for the afternoon. A charming couple picked us up at our hotel and shuttled us to a drop off location, and we were quickly on our way. The loop is absolutely spectacular, and the bikes really level the field so everyone can enjoy a beautiful ride. Pick up was seamless and we found ourselves back in no time. I highly recommend EzRide they took great care of us from start to finish.
