Visit a place where it is Christmas all year round on a tour to Santa Claus Village from Rovaniemi. Meet Santa Claus in person, then cross into the Arctic Circle for photo opportunities. Take a day trip to Ranua Wildlife Park and see 50 arctic species, including the polar bear if you are lucky. After picking you up, your guide will first take you to get changed into winter overalls. Then, start your 1-hour drive to Ranua. Enjoy a convenient hotel transfer and entrance tickets included. Learn all about local wildlife from your professional guide. After being picked up at your accommodation, drive to Ranua Wildlife Park, located approximately a one-hour drive away. Ranua Zoo is home to around 50 species of wild arctic animals and 200 animal varieties. You will visit the oldest and most authentic reindeer farm in Rovaniemi area. A nice 45m/1h reindeer sled ride in the forest is waiting for you. Meet your guide at the agreed pickup location and head to the local partner's office to get dressed (if necessary). Head off on a 20-minute drive into the Arctic to the reindeer farm deep in the woods. Upon arrival, the reindeer herders will introduce themselves to you and explain how the evening will go. Get acquainted with your reindeer before hopping aboard your sleigh and heading into the dark, mystical forests of Lapland. Darkness is what is important when trying to spot the northern lights; they appear best when the skies are clear and the moon is not too bright. In case the northern lights are not seen on your tour, you'll still have a lovely reindeer ride as a fond memory of your trip to Rovaniemi. Once the ride is over, head into one of the wooden huts at the farm and get to know the herders properly. Here, they will tell you more about the reindeer's yearly cycle and how life is in Lapland.
