Full description

Explore the diverse landscapes of Lanzarote on a full-day bus tour of the island and compare the north and south. Get pick-up from your hotel in Playa Blanca, Arrecife, Puerto de Carmen, or Costa Teguise and journey to Timanfaya National Park to see the lunar landscapes formed by the last eruptions of the 18th century.

Witness the geothermal activity that provides heat for the island. Then, follow the route of volcanoes as you head south and cross the area bordering Timanfaya and the protected landscape of La Geria. Stop at El Golfo, known for its spectacularly green lake.

Go to the capital city at Teguise and admire the stunning views from Peñas del Chache at the highest point on Lanzarote. Take photos of the northeastern coastline and Haria, home of The Valley of the Thousand Palm trees.

Finally, visit Jameos del Agua, a series of lava caves with an underground auditorium, restaurant, and salt lake. See nature and mankind come together in this space created by César Manrique. Admire the subterranean gardens, blind albino crabs, and the fascinating museum of La Casa de Los Volcanes.

After appreciating artistic creation in harmony with the environment at the volcanic caves, it’s time to go back to Lanzarote.

The tour was great but organisation for Get Your Guide could be much better. They asked us where we were staying in preparation to pick us up. We gave them the name of our hotel and they replied that they would pick us up from a bus stop (20 minutes away); the name they gave was different to our hotel’s name. In the morning we walked to the bus stop to only find out we just needed to stay at our hotel (local knowledge told us the two places were the same) and they would pick us up from there. We rang the number twice as we were lost but they were of no help. Luckily the guide rang us and was happy to wait a few minutes while we ran the 20 mins back to the original stop. Not a great start to what turned out to be a lovely tour.

Pros: - visited Timanfaya w/o waiting in long queues (unlike cars) - good for those who have no car but wants to explore the island Cons: - mind that there will be >50ppl with you and it means that ~1.5h per pick ups/ drop offs (each). So within 9-18:30 timing, exact your was from 10:30 to 16:00 - the guide was running the tour in EN and ES (though I booked EN one), which is also not very comfy because difficult to catch when it's already in lang you know + looked like sometimes she gave more info in Spanish than in English - (not dependant on a guide) there were inadequate russians who were aggressively shouting during the whole tours, which really distracting

The bus tour was through, the host was friendly. The only complain was bit of mismanagement with the bus which lead to a bit of seat crises other than that great for people who like tours at a relaxed pace. The whole national park experience was covered & would have liked some more wine rather than literal tasting.
