Full description

On this 7-hour excursion, you’ll explore the natural sites of southern Lanzarote. The last volcanic eruptions in the area occurred in the 18th century, creating a unique landscape. The centerpiece of the tour is the stunning Timanfaya National Park, which has been the shooting location for several films. The park’s terrain was used to represent the landscapes of other planets, such as Mars.

See geothermal demonstrations on the Islet of Hilario, where the latent heat from past eruptions is still potent. Continue on a drive along the famous Volcanoes Route. Surrounding the park you’ll find natural wonders such as the Sea of Lava near the white village of Yaiza. Take in panoramic views as you pass Los Hervideros, El Golfo, and Green Lake. At El Camacho, you can take an optional camel ride.

In La Geria you'll visit a winery. This area is known for its Malvasia grape vineyards and the unique methods the local have devised to cultivate the difficult land.

Good tour of the southern part, you just need to have luck with the other travellers, that they don't end up delaying the trip, because they were too late to come back to the bus, which then hurries up the remaining part of the tour. But all in all pretty good und worth the money. The guide was a really cheerful person and funny. The food at the lunch stop was pretty good, in contrast to the reviews I read, 9 Euros for an all you can eat buffet is totally normal and you have quite a choice to eat from. We did not happen to stop at Los Hervideros or see the volcanic caves there, not sure if this was because of the delays.

It was good, although two stops not needed at all - camel ride? Unethical attraction in the middle of nowhere ( we travelled with 2,5 years old and 1 year old, so museum was the only place we could hide from the sun, then wine tasting - typical commercial attraction to make money. It's a pity there is no playground near the restaurant for lunch.
