  • Langkawi: Island Hopping Tour

    1. Langkawi: Island Hopping Tour

Your tour begins bright and early, your guide picking you up between 8:30 and 9:00 AM, en route to the Langkawi jetty. As you head to Pulau Dayang Bunting, the first island on your itinerary, you’ll stop along the way to feed Langkawi’s famous eagles, who will dive majestically into the water to retrieve pieces of chicken that your boatman chucks off the side of the boat. After the 20 minute ride, you’ll arrive at the unspoiled paradise of Pulau Dayang Bunting, known for its vast freshwater lake, surrounded on all sides by forested mountains. Rent some paddle-boats, snorkel, or just have a leisurely dip in the lake — it’s up to you. After exploring the area and taking in the lush vistas, head back to the boat, bound for Pulau Singa Besar. One of the more untouched islands in the Langkawi archipelago, keep your eyes peeled for freely roaming peacocks, monkeys, and prehistoric monitor liz...

No Frills, No fuss, this tour was mainly about the transportation to and from Islands. It was nice to not be bombarded with information and just enjoy visiting beautiful places

  • Langkawi: Mangrove Kilim UNESCO Geopark & Cave Tour

    2. Langkawi: Mangrove Kilim UNESCO Geopark & Cave Tour

Start the tour with a hotel or port pickup by the local driver and transfer to the jetty. Travel by boat through the twists and turns of the Kilim River through the maze created by aerial roots and thick fleshy leaves of the mangrove trees. Keep your eyes peeled for animals that make their home in this delicately balanced ecosystem which is responsible for the health and wide variety of species in the Andaman Sea. Also, see how the mangrove area is a perfect environment for cottage industries such as fish farms. Make your first stop when the boatman stops the engine and throws some chicken pieces out into the water to invite the eagles. Marvel as eagles dive down just next to you and claw up the chicken pieces as they soar into the sky. Then, venture out of the mangroves to admire majestic limestone rock formations and sea stacks that rise dramatically from the ocean. This ancient coral...

Your 4-hour journey takes you on a voyage of exploration through the mangroves of Langkawi, to discover exotic plants and animal species. Many of them survive by ingenious methods in a dynamic environment of constant change, dictated by the rise and fall of the tides. Following a short drive to the jetty, get on board a boat and explore the mangrove forests and ancient limestone outcrops of the northeast of the island. Mangrove forests play an essential part in maintaining the ecological balance of the world. They influence the climate, provide shelter, and act as major nurseries for fish and shrimps. As you drift through the mangroves, look out for the bizarre land walking fishes. Watch out too for bright flashing kingfishers, and look up to see eagles and kites. If you are very lucky, you might see curious otters and playful dolphins. And don’t forget the little critters, however cree...
