Full description
Park your car at Gullfoss Café and be stunned by the monster trucks and super jeeps from that await your arrival. Your driver will greet you and then begin your journey to the glacial highlands of Iceland, from Gullfoss to Langjökull glacier. Enjoy the epic scenery on the way. There is a usually impassible road but the massive machinery eats through it, which is an adventure on its own.  Once at the glacier, step out of the monster truck and into the glacier hut to collect snowsuits and other accessories to keep you warm during the snowmobile ride. When suited up, head to the rows of snowmobiles. The guide will go through the details of how to operate the snowmobile, which is quite easy. After the introduction, select your snowmobile and wait for the guide to signal to go.  Ride along the glacier with good visibility to emerge in epic surroundings of lava formed rock mountains. A total whiteout is always a possibility but that is no less fun and in fact, is what the guides prefer. The ride will take you to the newly discovered ice cave with a custom-built entrance for ease of access all winter long.  The ride will take you to an ice cave with a custom-built entrance for ease of access all winter long. Building an access to this mysterious world of ice enables you to enter a safe environment and experience the unique natural beauty of the ice cap from within. Explore every corner and detail of the cave with your guide. Head back to the glacier hut and hop on the monster truck for a return ride through the snowy terrain to Gullfoss.

First I want to say, when booking on this website, be sure to notice that you can change the currency rate on a tab in the upper corner, I did not see this and was charged more than expected. Luckily, I was able to speak with the customer service team and they refunded me based on my currency that I had thought I was paying, which was very good of them and much appreciated. The experience was amazing! We went in December and had a great weather day, although windy and chilly but great day for a ride. You are given zip up suits, gloves and a helmet. The cons: The staff wasn’t the friendliest and wish we could have snowmobiled a little more off course, but I understand the safety of it. The ice cave was cool but small so you don’t spend much time in there. Overall, it was a lot of fun and an amazing experience, how many people can say They snowmobiled on a glacier?!!

      A unique experience

It is worth it because it is very exciting and the guides are great, the only drawback is that the bike that touched us was bad, the shock absorbers were very worn and all the blows were noticed and also we broke the belt twice. Although the guides fixed it quickly I would have liked to go a little slower to contemplate the landscape at sunset that was spectacular

It is only worthwhile in winter and is more of a wet river trip in summer. Listless guides, long waiting in the camp, a shame about the time and money.
