From Nairobi: Lake Naivasha and Hell's Gate Park Day Tour

1. From Nairobi: Lake Naivasha and Hell's Gate Park Day Tour

Embark on an outdoor adventure on this multi-activity tour from Nairobi to Hell's Gate National Park and Lake Naivasha. Choose between a 2-hour bike safari, a 1-hour guided walk, or horse riding. Enjoy lunch and an optional cruise on Lake Naivasha. Start off your adventure with hotel pickup, then drive to the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint, one of Kenya’s most spectacular spots. Absorb the panoramic views of all the major attractions in Nairobi before moving on to Hell's Gate National Park. Get into gear and start the 2-hour biking safari around the park (if option selected). Expect to cycle past a range of wildlife from large antelopes to roaming zebras and everything in between. If you chose the 1-hour guided walk, spend time exploring the gorges inside the park. Gorges are small, thin depressions of land that you can walk underneath. If you chose the horse riding option instead, explore the area by horseback. Later, get driven to Naivasha Astoria Hotel, Fisherman's Camp, or Marina Camp for lunch (cost not included). If you chose the boat ride option, hop on board and start the trip across Lake Naivasha, the Rift Valley's highest lake. Encircled by verdant banks, olive trees, and cacti, this Lake Naivasha is home to exotic birds and giant hippos. After lunch or your cruise (depending on option selected), depart for Nairobi for drop-off back at your pickup place.

Nairobi: Full-Day Mount Longonot Hike with Boat Tour

2. Nairobi: Full-Day Mount Longonot Hike with Boat Tour

Your adventure begins with pickup you from your Nairobi hotel/residence at 6:00AM. After driving for approximately 1 hour, you will begin the ascent at 6,000 feet. Like all good uphill hikes it will lull you into a sense of false security with a slow gentle rise to the first peak. This will give you the chance to get your lungs and limbs freed up for the second section, which is the best section. At the end of each section there is a rest point where you can prepare yourself for the next part of your journey. You will have started early to avoid the heat of the sun, but by the time you reach the end of the second section you will have generated plenty of your own heat. This hike is not an easy hike, but is achievable by people of average fitness. Your guide will accompany you all the way to the top. The whole tour is only about 8–9 kilometers long but very steep, so that the round-trip from the park gate to Longonot Peak takes around 5 hours. At the conclusion of your tour you will visit Lake Naivasha for a sunset boat ride to see hippos, before your return drive to Nairobi.

From Nairobi: Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center Day Tour

3. From Nairobi: Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center Day Tour

After getting picked up from your hotel in Nairobi, head to the Giraffe Center, where you can see giraffes living in a semi-wild state. Learn about their behaviors, traits and conservation efforts. You will also get the opportunity to feed these gentle giants. Next, head to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Take a walk through the center where baby elephants wait to be fed. Watch them play in the water and gargle their milk and discover each of the elephant's personal story. Once the youngest are fed, its time to feed the 2-3-year-olds, some of whom are old enough to feed themselves. Watch as they hold their giant milk bottles in their trunks and make quick work of several gallons of milk. Your final stop before heading back to Nairobi will be the Karen blixxen Meseum Of house of Out Africa fame

The on-site organization by Perfect Wildernes Tours and Safaris was excellent. Our driver Viktor, who picked us up from the hotel, also took care of everything for us at the individual events without any problems. He was always open to questions and brought us safely to all destinations. The guides at Hells Gate National Park and Lake Naivasha were also very good. I can highly recommend the organizer.

The elephant orphanage and giraffe centre trip was an incredible experience and not to be missed. A great opportunity to get up close to and learn more about the animals and the excellent care they receive. Our guide was friendly and informative, with great communication, and even took us to additional locations like the bead factory. Would highly recommend doing this while in Nairobi

Super day with every guide (driver, mt guide and boat guide) being extremely knowledgeable about their area. Also taken to a great spot for lunch, would recommend

Such a wonderful trip! Steven is a great driver and Gadaphi is the best guide.
