Your adventure begins with pickup from your Hervey Bay accommodation, or make your own way to River Heads. Take a 40-minute ferry ride to Fraser Island, keeping a look out for dolphins, turtles, and other marine life. Once on the island, your local guide will take you to see the stunning natural sights.   Learn fascinating facts about the island’s history, and its fauna and flora. Travel in an air-conditioned bus to Central Station, a former logging station. Then stroll along the Wanggoolba Creek boardwalk to discover the ancient king ferns, towering ghost gums, and pine trees. Continue to Lake McKenzie and swim in the crystal blue waters or relax on the sandy beaches. The next stop is Seventy-Five Mile Beach. Choose to take a flight over the island (at additional cost), or float down Eli Creek. Visit the Maheno shipwreck and enjoy a photo stop at the rusting wreck of the Maheno. You’ll also see The Pinnacles colored sands, and learn how these formations were created. Board the 5:00 PM ferry back to River Heads, and get dropped off at your accommodation between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

Gear up for two full days of fun and adventure on Fraser Island. Your guide, a Fraser Island expert with local knowledge and a passion for the island, takes all the hard work out of navigating tides and terrain. Drive across sand tracks to explore beautiful, natural spots and listen to fascinating facts about the island’s history and flora and fauna in air-conditioned comfort. Keep your eye out for dingos and migrating humpback whales (July-November).   Depart Rainbow Beach at approximately 8:00 AM and travel to Inskip for the barge crossing to Hook Point on Fraser Island. During the journey, treat yourself to an optional scenic flight over the island.  Relax on the sandy banks of Eli Creek, wade through the shallow waters, or drift downstream on the fastest-flowing creek on the island — sure to revitalize your mind, body, and soul. Learn the intriguing history of Maheno Shipwreck, a once-proud passenger liner that was washed ashore in 1935 during a cyclone. The Pinnacles Colored Sands are one of Fraser’s most magical locations; hear about how these dreamy cliffs came to be.  See the spectacular Indian Head while cruising up 75 Mile Beach. Stimulate your senses in the Champagne Pools with a dip into a natural ocean jacuzzi. At Lake Wabby, swim in the emerald-green window lake and explore the only example of a barrage lake on Fraser Island, after trekking across the shifting sands of Hammerstone Sandblow.  The tour concludes with departure from Fraser Island on the second day at approximately 4:30 PM, arriving back at your accommodation in Rainbow Beach between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM.

4. Noosa: Full-Day Fraser Island Warrior Tour

Start your day either from the convenient meeting point in Noosa or with a courtesy pickup from select hotels. From there you will travel through the Toolara Forest and Great Sandy National Park as you make your way towards Fraser Island. Following a quick stop in Rainbow Beach, board the ferry from Inskip Point over to the island, looking out for marine life along the way. You'll then drive along the beach highway to a freshwater creek where you’ll enjoy morning tea with a view. Following that, it will be time to make your way through the inland tracks to experience a 4WD adventure. You'll journey through the forest to Lake McKenzie, a highlight for many due to the beautiful white sandy beach and perfectly blue waters. You can cool off with a swim, enjoy some wonderful photo opportunities, or relax on the beach before tucking into an authentic and healthy Aussie picnic-style lunch. Following lunch you'll walk through the ancient rainforest of Central Station and Pile Valley, which is home to many unique and interesting species. Wander alongside the crystal clear Wanggoolba Creek as you take in the sights and smells of the tallest rainforest, which is growing out of sand. It will then be time to start making your way back towards Noosa with another drive down the beach highway and a brief stopover in Rainbow Beach. Your return time to Noosa will be approximately 5:00PM.

Brett was informative and comical in his delivery of this tour. Even though the weather was horrendous, we found this tour to be excellent. We spent the right amount of time at each location, the buffet lunch at the resort was also decent. We are in our 30s and although being with an older crowd for this trip we still found the tour adventurous and suited to all ages.

It was a fantastic day and very enjoyable even in the rain. A walk in the rain (in a raincoat) through through the rainforest was very memorable. There was plenty of time at each spot to enjoy the area.

It was a vey full day and our driver Butch was so full of amazing information about the Island and the vegetation. We really enjoyed our day.

What a FABULOUS Day - thoroughly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
