Itinerary Day 1 Drive from Entebbe airport to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest NP. Arrival at Entebbe airport, on arrival at the airport you be received by our tour guide/ driver, you will drive out from the airport drive to Bwindi in southwestern Uganda, the drive takes 8-9 hours. You will have a stopover at the equator line crossing for a photo shoot and demonstrative experiment along Kampala -Masaka highway. You will then proceed to Bwindi passing through the African village homesteads and vibrant towns and passing through the Kigezi highlands and termed as the (Ugandan Switzerland). You Will arrive late evening at your lodge in Bwindi Forest where you will spend the night. Once you've been assigned a group you will follow your guide into Bwindi National Park. You start your trek by walking for about four hours before you reach the gorillas. However, the time ranges between 2-9 hours depending on the movement of the giant primates. The activity is tedious, it entails walking along steep hilly tracks however encountering these great relatives of man erases all the poor memories/ hardships you went through in trying to find them. Later continue driving further south to Lake Bunyonyi. A very beautiful lake with 29 islands which might make you feel like you are out of Africa. Kibale national park is the primate capital of the world with habitants like the red-tailed monkey, mantled guereza, olive baboons lhoests monkey, chimpanzees, the park is home to about 325 different bird species including nahans partridge, black bee eater, green breasted pitta and more, the park is aroma to about 250 different butterfly species. Chimpanzees are found in smaller groups of about 15 to 150 individuals. The trek usually takes about 2-5hours depending on the location, we shall head back to the lodge for our lunch. You will visit the Karimojong communities and experience their lifestyle , Karimojong are a group of semi nomadic pastoralists that has stuck to their ancient ways , known for being fierce , their unique culture can be seen in different aspects of their ways of life such as dress code ,local arts ,and crafts ,jewelry , traditional dances , food preparation and the marriage and initiation ceremonies , their houses called the manyattas are made using local material like grass , mud, dung they are enclosed in a fence made of thorny plants to keep animals from roaming out of the fence . After the community experience you will head back to your lodge for an overnight stay. Itinerary Day 1 Arrival at Kigali airport Arrival and pick up from Kigali airport, you will meet with your guide as he welcomes you to Rwanda and drive you to the lodge for check-in, you will later drive around Kigali city, you will visit various sites including Kigali memorial site, Hotel Rwanda where people sought refuge amid the genocide, Nyamata church, , Rwanda convectional Centre and finish with the presidential palace museum which was the place of residence of former president Juvenal Habyarimana at the time of the genocide. You will later return to your lodge for an overnight stay. Day 2 Akagera National Park. Early morning After breakfast you will drive for about 3 hours to Akagera national park and on arrival, you will embark on a boat cruise on lake Ihema enjoying the view of water animals like the Hippos, crocodiles, with beautiful birds like the Shoebill stork, the African Fish Eagle, Valentine birds and more. In the evening you will head back to your lodge for rest and overnight stay Budget Accommodation: Broad bill forest camp Day 4 Gorilla trekking experience After an early morning breakfast, you head to the National Park offices for briefing about the dos and don’ts then head for a gorilla trek with acknowledgeable ranger, this will take about 2 - 5hours passing through thicket and bush trekking up or down hill while looking for a gorilla family , after meeting the family you will be around at least an hour with the family while experiencing their humanly way of behavioral characters, take as many photos and videos as you can as this is the most fascinating experience you will ever have in a life time . After the experience you have your parked lunch and later head to Lake Bunyonyi for a relaxing moment.
