Full description

Embark on boat trip on a maxi-catamaran of 16 meters. Meet at the dock located in front of the 2 historic towers of la Rochelle. After a welcome speech, you will sail up the channel, looking one last time at the city in full daylight. Admire the Richelieu Tower and the harbour of Les Minimes on the way. Once at sea, the crew will stop the engine and open the sails as the sun come down. Set up your picnic if you brought one and take in the views of the ocean as the sun sets on the horizon. Have a chat with the crew to learn more about the local landscapes and history, or to ask questions about the boat. Start up a conversation to get to know the other passengers. Once the sun has set, you will slowly start your way back, enjoying the lights of the city at night. You will arrive at the dock after passing between the two towers of the old harbor.

Meeting point

Please park your car before coming. The boarding dock is located on Avenue Michel Crépeau across from the Médiathèque of La Rochelle. A pedestrian path with grass and trees runs along the sea. Look for a footbridge walkway. You will find our name Kapalouest written on a door. Please arrive 15 minutes before the activity starts. Wait at the top of the dock, the crew will come and get you.

Very friendly and professional crew very good formula with possible meal on the boat or possibility to bring your small cooler for an aperitif at sea. The weather being in our favor we enjoyed a magnificent sunset on the island of Ré . The return to the illuminated port is great.

it's cool to participate in raising the sail with the instructor!! And the music+guides are so great. You could dance with the music or sitting in the back quietly as u wish. Plus, we have plenty of seats to choose from, thus we could have a very rich view of the sea.(lying on the net is the best!) And thanks soooo much for the instructor's finding me back my lost bracelet!!

Très bonne activité. Coucher de soleil magnifique. Bémol la musique sur le bateau qui gâche un peu car on aurait apprécié entendre le bruit de l eau surtout sur un voilier ! Penser à prendre de quoi se couvrir car il fait vraiment froid s il y a du vent.
