Discovery of L'Aquila with guide Carla

We were curious about the state of L'Aquila 10 years after the earthquake. Some churches and palazzi have already been rebuilt, just beautiful! But there is also the other side. Many buildings are still in the scaffolding and there is a lot of activity. Then you have to know where you can walk safely and you do need a guide for that. Carla is a passionate storyteller, has been guiding in this city for 30 years, and knows better than anyone how in one night the city changed from a rich shopping city to a total ruin, and how she is now slowly starting to live again. A fascinating story. I would recommend it to everyone. We only booked 2 days before and everything went smoothly.

We enjoyed the tour of L'Aquila and learned a lot of new information. Vanessa, our guide, always captivated us with her stories and patiently answered all our questions.

Vanessa did this very well and lively. Great city.
