Full description
Visit the spectacular natural springs of Pamukkale near Ephesus on this full-day sightseeing tour from Kusadasi. Unique in the world, the hot spring waters have carved fantastic formations in the terraced rocks over many centuries to create a surreal landscape. Used since Roman times for their therapeutic powers, the thermal waters are situated on a picturesque plateau, where a thermal center with motels, pools and the ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis attract those seeking relief in the healing waters. There are 17 hot water springs, with temperatures ranging from 35°C to 100°C. The water that emerges from the spring is transported 1,050 feet (320 meters) to the head of the travertine terraces, where it deposits calcium carbonate. After a buffet lunch of Turkish foods, continue to the ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis, built on the hot springs in classical Phrygia. As well as the magnificently preserved necropolis, you will see the main colonnaded road, ancient city gates, and the thermal baths, including Cleopatra’s Pool, where the water is suitable for taking showers and drinking cures.

1st part of the tour on the bus. Could be better. some information was shared about the population. I had the impression that the other guide (Polish) told more than the English guide. once on location the guide had told a lot. clear information. the tour itself was very nice but way too short in time. we only got to see half of it. but definitely worth it

Edmer our guide informed us but without overwhelming us with information Free time in Hierapolis and Pamukkale of about three and a half hours enough I would have liked the pick-up to be earlier to enjoy Pamukkale before eating and not after that you don't feel like it and it's much hotter Food was not good Reasonable price compared to other tours

Amazing site, not quite enough time. Mediocre lunch in hotel 'canteen'

I mostly enjoyed the trip - guide could have been more enthusiastic about the site - spent more time on facts about Turkey. Meal was mediocre and you should have spent less time/effort on the hotel visit. It wasn't explained the lunch would be in a huge hotel with quite rude staff. The guide didn't eat with us and said afterwards he preferred better quality food which of course undervalued us - obviously we were cattle to be fed! A packed lunch on the bus might have been enough, and more time on the site.
