Follow the ancient timber logger tracks and discover unique trees. As you venture through the forest, your tour guide will share amazing facts and stories from the history of the pioneers. What people are saying about Kuranda

Wonderful day today. Firstly our pilot Brad from GSL Aviation (Cairns airport) was informative, professional, attentive & knowledgeable as we flew above the reef. Just 6 in the plane + pilot. Everyone had a window seat. A great experience we would recommend to everyone. 10/10 Brad. Then we went to Smithfield to catch the Skyrail up to Kuranda, a really good way to travel up the mountain with the rainforest below. Then at Kuranda we took a 45 minute boat ride on the Barron River (Kuranda Riverboat Tours) and our guide Lex was very knowledgeable in pointing out fresh water crocs, tortoises, fish & a cassowary, all up close & personal. 10/10 Lex. Then lunch at the Kuranda Pub (nice hamburger) and the train trip down the mountain. The trainline is a marvellous historical engineering endeavour & should be experienced.

It was MEGA fun. You need some fitness to do this activity. It requires carrying the tube to the river (about 2 minutes walk). My son is 8 and quite fit, he carries his own tube and managed the river by himself because we were drift apart as soon as we enter the river. It's very safe, he capsized twice in the white water section of the river. He managed to stay afloat and get back in the tube on his own as I was too far to help.

We really enjoyed riding on the quad bikes. It was a lot of fun and we did stops along the way picking fruit and also enjoying the rainforest. The Guide we had, she was really lovely and easy to connect with.

Ellen was professional, had a great sense of humour and knew her stuff. We had varying degrees of experience and she ensured we were well supervised. Will definitely be back

Fabulous leaders and guides with an incredible fun filled experience
