Take a full or half-day tour of Etosha National Park in an open vehicle and look out for Namibia’s ‘Big 4’: lions, rhinos, leopards, and elephants. Your day begins with pickup from your accommodation in Okaukuejo or Ombika, and from there you’ll be taken by 4 x 4 to explore the park and discover the best areas for spotting wildlife. Your knowledgeable driver will take you close to watering holes and other ideal places for getting close encounters with the animals. Day 1: Windhoek To Etosha We will pick you up at any hotel/lodge situated in Windhoek around 8am, departure from Windhoek at 8:30am. Traveling 450 km north, to nature and wildlife sanctuary – Etosha National Park ’treasure of Namibia’. In the afternoon game drive in Etosha on the safari trails in search for wildlife: Elephants, Rhino, Zebras, various game, Oryx, Kudu, Wildebeest, Impala, Springbok, Sable, Giraffes, Hyenas and big cats of Africa: Lion, Leopard and Cheetah inhabiting the vast savannas. Return to the camp before sunset and closing of the gates. Meals: None today Accommodation: 2 nights at Halali Resort or similar. Distance: 450 km. Day 2: Game Drive in Etosha Today after sunrise, full day unlimited game drive from sunrise until sunset in Etosha National Park, close encounter with African wildlife! We are exploring eastern and western trails of Etosha, visiting waterholes on the way, excellent opportunity for wildlife photography. Return to the camp before the sunset and before closing of the gates. After dinner, nature spectacle at the waterhole. Live ‚theater of nature’…till late at night, where thirsty wildlife gather for a sip of water! Be it a Lion or an Elephant, a Giraffe or a Zebra; almost all African animal species are represented in this huge nature reserve. Inhabiting a ginormous area of 22,912 square kilometers, there is an estimated number of 250 Lions in the park, 300 Rhinos, 2 500 Giraffes, 6 000 Zebras and more than 2 000 Elephants. Variety of antelope species: Oryx, Kudu, Eland, Wildebeast and Black-faced Impala live in Etosha. The dainty Springbok are especially numerous; at least 20 000 of them roam the reserve. Often, they can be observed in enormous herds of several hundred animals. In Etosha, 114 mammal species are found, several are rare and endangered e.g. Black Rhino (largest number in the world), Cheetah, Hyena and Leopard. Etosha’s Elephants are the largest in Africa, measuring up to 4m. About 340 bird species, as well as various species of reptiles, rodents and snakes are also found in the area. Meals: Breakfast Distance: around 200 km on gravel routes of Etosha. Day 3: End of the Tour After breakfast, last visit to the waterhole and return to Windhoek. Arrival at the capital around lunch. Depart from Windhoek and stop briefly at Otjiwarongo to enjoy a light lunch before entering Etosha National Park through the Anderson Gate. Enjoy a game drive across the park visiting waterholes and looking for predators as well as zebra, giraffe, elephants, and rhino. Arrive at your accommodation just before sunset. The accommodation is located inside Etosha National Park and has a floodlit waterhole next to the camp. Rise for a pre-sunrise snack with tea/coffee and then game drive until mid morning when you return to camp for breakfast before heading out for another game drive. Head back to Halali for a picnic lunch. After lunch, you will visit the mighty Etosha Pan (the largest salt pan in Namibia) before game driving across the park in your quest to find the big 4. Visit one last waterhole to worship the African sunset before you head back for a dinner prepared by your guide over the campfire, where you can compare photos and stories of the animals seen today. Have an early morning breakfast before departing for a drive to the communal lands of Damaraland where you will see the communal farmers in this arid region. You stop at the Ugab River bridge to visit with the beautiful Herero ladies who sell their small art and craft items to support their families. Have lunch in the shadow of the Brandberg Mountain and go on a short visit with a Himba group who have moved into this area to sell their jewellery and other items (dependent on Himba tribespeople). After lunch, you head directly through the Namib Desert and stop at the latest shipwreck on the Skeleton Coast before arriving late afternoon in Swakopmund. Explore this seaside town on foot and visit the jetty for sunset. Have dinner locally (own expense). On the last day you can ask to take part in optional additional activities before you return to Windhoek.

Then we will drive to Deadvlei and Big Daddy Dunes as well as Sossusvlei. This three-day guided tour offers a stress-free experience at Etosha National Park. Etosha National Park is Namibia’s premier tourist attraction. It is one of the world’s largest game parks extending more than 350km east to west and covering an area of 22 270 square kilometers. The vast open plains, many waterholes, and the large number of resident games make visiting Etosha National Park very rewarding. Since Etosha National Park is the gateway to Northern Namibia and Ovamboland, it's a very popular stop on any Namibian tour. Above all, it is known as Namibia’s foremost wildlife sancuary. The landscape is unique and varied and subsequently home to a wide variety of animals. For example lion, elephant, leopard, giraffe, cheetah, hyena, springbok, two kinds of zebra, eland and many more species of wildlife are found here Day 1: Today when at the Hosea Kutako International Airport, you will meet one of our representatives and you begin your journey straight to Etosha National Park. Please make sure your flight arrives no later than 14h00. In a case where your flight arrives later than 14h00, you will unfortunately only get to travel the next morning, and the night in Windhoek will be at your own cost. In a case where you will be in Windhoek already, your guide will pick you up from your hotel, and you will begin your journey to Etosha. Your pick up will be no later than 10h00 am. You will arrive in the early afternoon hours, as this will be a 4/5-hour drive. Upon arrival, you will enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure. At midday, you can sit and stake out a waterhole. Numerous animals still come and drink in the midday heat. After the game drive, you will drive back to the lodge and rest. You will be accommodated at Toshari Lodge or Similar Lodge Day 3: Today, after breakfast, you will drive back to Windhoek. Your guide will then drop you off at the airport (if you have a flight departing today), hotel, or guesthouse of your choice. NB!
