Full description
Combine colorful markets, gorgeous natural scenery, and handicrafts on a tour that takes you to the beautiful Batu Caves and the bustling district of Little India. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or in a group, this is a great opportunity to meet new people from different parts of the world. Leave the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur behind and head to the 400-million-year-old Batu Caves. Explore the Batu Caves and hear about their history and connection to Hindu culture. Take a closer look at the golden statue of Lord Murugan and marvel at its size and beauty. Follow in the footsteps of pilgrims before you and brave the climb to reach a temple filled with Hindu shrines. On your way down, snap a few pictures of the friendly monkeys looking to pick up treats from visitors. Your journey continues on the streets of Brickfields or "Little India" back in Kuala Lumpur City. Take in the flavors, spices, and colors of Indian culture and explore various temples, churches, shrines, and mosques within Little India’s borders. Browse bright displays of saris and gold jewelry alongside food stalls and craftsmen’s booths. Learn about Indian gastronomy and try one of the best Indian dishes: banana leaf curry (can be vegetarian). After eating your fill, head to one of Little India's most elegant buildings and learn about its purpose and history from your local guide. End your tour at one of the most prominent Hindu temples in Malaysia. Check out the authentic Sri Lankan Tamil architecture that makes it one of the city's most remarkable sights. Decide together with your guide if you want to go inside or simply admire the beautiful exterior of the edifice. Head back to your car and enjoy the ride back to the hotel as you get some final tips from your guide.

Picked up by our wonderful guide (Siddoz) in Port Klang who got us to the Batu Caves in no time. On the way he gave all kinds of information about the country and the excuses we would do that day. At the Batu Caves he also pointed out to us to be alert for pickpockets, which indeed turned out to be no unnecessary information (groups of Chinese, so beware) Then an idea from the guide to also visit the Twin Towers for a photo opportunity, too. nice to see and very happy that he did this. He then took us to Little India where we wandered around and then had lunch with him locally. The day flew by and we were brought back to port just before the crowds so that we could board our cruise ship on time.
