Full description
Learn the techniques of master artisans like Louis Tiffany during this hands-on stained glass workshop in Krakow. Tour the historic stained glass museum to learn the history of this intricate art form, and watch skilled craftspeople at work creating stained glass windows and other objects by hand. Following this, make your own colorful creation to take home by cutting, framing, and soldering pieces of glass, all with the help of helpful professionals. It's a unique souvenir that you won't find anywhere else. The workshops start from the museum cafe, where you can also buy tickets and watch a short video about the process of making glass. Following this, a guide will arrive to take you to the old workshop, which was established over a century ago and has maintained a majority of its original interior. You will see artisans at work and the guide will explain the whole process, from designing, to cutting and framing a stained glass window. Afterwards, you will have a coffee break, following which you will be given all necessary materials to start making your own stained glass object in the historical workshop, next to the master craftsmen making spectacular large pieces. You will learn to cut glass, frame it and solder using Tiffany's method. At the conclusion of your workshop, your completed product will be safely packed for the onward journey.

Great experience!

We booked a museum tour in English with one hour stained glass workshop afterwards and it was absolutely fantastic! The guide was very knowledgeable and we discovered a lot about the process of making stained glass artwork and then made our own pieces to take home as souvenirs. This was definitely one of our top highlights from visiting Krakow! Perfect for those who are into handcraft and art!

My 21 year old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment !!

The tour was fascinating and moved at the right pace with an appropriate level of detail. We really loved the hands on workshop and were delighted with the pieces we created. Our staff member was SO helpful and supportive. She was really patient and cheerful. We felt privileged to be working alongside those involved in making such wonderful masterpieces. Thank you all so much. We thoroughly recommend this experience. We were so engrossed the time just flew past. PS We loved the delicious croissants and drinks midway through - free too !!!

Brilliant, very eye opening and fun!

The tour was very interesting, and eye opened and left me with my jaw on the floor at times. It is quite a small museum and the tour doesn't last long, but what it is missing in size it more than makes up for in authenticity and quality. The workshop was great fun, our guide was also our instructor and she was very friendly and helpful and great company to be around. She did her workshop proud. The souvenir you make in the workshop is very simple and easy but still satisfying. The cafe too is very high quality and the free tea/coffee and snacks (ours was a delicious chocolate croissant) was a great touch and very thoughtful.
