Follow a licensed guide on a poignant tour of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum and Memorial. After, travel to the Wieliczka Salt Mine and take a guided underground tour and witness beautiful chambers carved in salt. Enjoy a private hotel pickup and transfers on this combined tour from Krakow. Get pickup from your hotel and travel to the Auschwitz I Museum to begin your walking tour with a certified educator. Explore the remains of the Nazi camp's barracks, watchtowers, and crematoriums. With the help of the provided headset, listen as your guide tells about the ghastly Nazi crimes committed in the camps and hear stories of the everyday lives of the prisoners. Next, continue the tour at the Auschwitz-Birkenau II Memorial. Witness gas chambers and the remains of the railway which transported prisoners to the camps. After a lunch break, drive to the nearby town of Wieliczka to visit its famous salt mine. Prearranged tickets will be waiting for you at the salt mine along with a local guide. Start the tour inside the salt mine by walking down long sets of steps, taking you 135 meters underground and through labyrinthine passageways, tunnels, and shafts. See underground lakes, 4 chapels, and unique statues carved by miners out of rock salt. Experience a unique place to visit and a must-see during your stay in Krakow. Once the guided tour is over, take a lift from the underground back up to the main ground level to meet your driver. Relax as you make the journey back to your accommodation Krakow.

      well over the going rate

I have no critiscm of the tour itself, the guides or the drivers..they were all excellent; Very informative & helpful. however I will never recommend or use this booking service again because of the extortionate charge. Compared to the actual cost of the trip, available on the day via the tour company. I paid before traveling £355 for myself and my partner to attend this tour. If we had booked direct with the tour company in Poland it would only have cost 300 polish zloty for us both (=£60!!).
