Full description
Your professional guide will show you the highlights of Krakow’s Old Town during this half-day walking tour. The medieval center is surrounded by Planty Gardens, a green area that forms a ring around the Old Town. In the middle of it all is the Main Market Square, which is the largest such square in Europe and dates from 1257. The historic center of Krakow has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The architecture of the Old Town has been maintained in its original form, dating from medieval times. Today you’ll see that this is the city’s cultural and commercial center and is filled with cafés, flower shops and horse-drawn carriages. Your sightseeing route will take in the streets of the Old Town, starting by the Church of St. Adalbert, through the Main Square, St. Mary's Basilica, the Cloth Hall, historical buildings of the Jagiellonian University, Planty park, and leads up to the Wawel Hill, with its castle and cathedral, as well as kings' graves and the Royal Sigismund Bell. Your guide will entertain you with interesting stories about Krakow's development through the ages, and tell you about the area's customs and traditions.

The tour was 1 hour shorter than advertised. In addition, time wasted waiting for participants who didn't come after all.
