Full description

Step into history with a visit to the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. Learn about the tragic history of the largest Holocaust concentration camp from your guide. Travel by climate-controlled bus from Krakow, and take a break with a nice boxed lunch during your tour.

Be picked up from the comfort of your accommodation in Krakow and board a comfortable bus for the 1.5-hour trip to the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp complex, a historic site that serves as an important Holocaust memorial.

Explore the museum in the outskirts of Oświęcim, approximately 60 kilometers west of Krakow. Upon arrival, meet a local guide who will show you around the site and tell you about its inhuman history.

Stop for a break where you can refuel with a tasty box lunch before continuing your tour.

Find out how Auschwitz-Birkenau has become both a symbol of human suffering and a witness to physical and emotional exhaustion. Hear about how it became the final resting place of millions of people, mostly Jews, that were sentenced to death in hideous gas chambers.

Walk through the gate marked "Arbeit Macht Frei" (work frees) to enter Auschwitz 1, where your guide will show you around the preserved area and introduce the history of the place.

Spend approximately an hour in Birkenau, where the mass killings as part of the Nazi "Final Solution to the Jewish Question" took place. After the visit, you can reflect on the experience during the ride back to Krakow.

The trip was very good. Pick-up at the hotel worked perfectly, the people who picked us up were cheerful and pleasant. It was a bit difficult to hear the guide because she spoke so softly and not always into the microphone. Especially in Birkenau it was very difficult to hear. She knew what she was talking about, but the presentation was not good. But the trip was interesting and it was a special experience to get there.

Very interesting experience and the same as what you see in the movies only more destroyed as you would expect. Auschwitz-Birkenau is a place to visit only once to understand what millions of human beings actually experienced and the conditions in which they lived. In addition, it is morbid and 'traumatizing' for some, hence only visiting once. The Museum built on the basis of the fields is very good and the guide who introduced us and directed us, in addition to the posters with phrases that mark and much more, is something that was very well done in this museum. The only negative point was the weather because it was very hot, the 2nd part of the visit was more difficult to complete and it is also very short, I think that in Birkenau they should show something more comprehensive as it is also a very important field! Overall and in short, I found it an awareness-raising, informative and welcoming experience since who guided us and the lunches given and the transport were excell

Next time I would choose to leave from the pick-up point. We had already been on the bus for an hour before we even left the city. Auschwitz was very impressive, but I missed the time to look around and really let it sink in. The tours are so tightly organized and with such large groups at the same time that you have to make an effort to take in the things.
