We went early in the morning, taking advantage of the discounted rates. It proved to be an excellent choice as the crowds were still scarce. The tour proceeded seamlessly, and the guide was highly knowledgeable, providing a clear understanding of the history of Auschwitz. Furthermore, we appreciated the small van used for transportation instead of a large bus. We returned by 2:00 PM, which allowed us sufficient time to explore other attractions in Krakow, such as the salt mine.

We visited both Auschwitz camps - 1 and 2 (Birkenau). The person who conducts the tour is different to the person who meets you on the coach. The lady giving the tour was extremely knowledgable, spoke clearly and in excellent English (considering she was a local) and the pace was just right. There were approx 16 of us in our group. The tour of Auschwitz 1 was 90 mins long, Auschwitz 2-Birkenau was an hour long, with a short coach ride. Very moving and emotional day, but well worth it

The tour guide was very professional. Notice: Food is not allowed at the tour and the are very short pauses - if you buy the lunch option you basically have to eat it before or after the tour at the bus. Starting time also changed the day before tour and they did not pick us from Hotel - we had to go to a meeting point.
