We really liked our stop in Ston. Hana did a great job translating everything into 2 languages. We enjoyed the tour of the peninsula, the boat ride to Korcula and having 3 hours to explore Korcula Town. Our only complaint was we had asked for an English tour and we were added into a mainly Spanish tour so we had to wait and be patient as everything was explained in 2 languages! On the bus, this was no problem. But for the walking tour of Korcula my husband was getting bored and restless as everything took twice as long.
Kruno the driver was also a great guide. Very kind. Ivan from the central office had excellent contact. Andrea in korcula gave a short guide with the keynotes, brief right to the point and with humor. The people at the winery was also excellent. In summary you will see amazing landscapes and listen to stories related to history. Just remember to always have kunas with you or your credit card. There is a good money exchange at korcula too. Rates better than Dubrovnic and split.
Boris has such passion and attention to detail, he also speaks fluent English and could answer any question we asked of him. We were shown 3 islands, walked on each while he explained their history and significance to his culture. The ultimately best part of the trip was the picnic with local produce, home-made GRK wine watching the magnificent sunset. The very best tour we have ever taken.
Our small group with Luca was great. He was charming & personable. He could have offered more information about the region and certain spots during our long drive however he was very helpful and attentive, having a great sense of humor as well. The tour was decent, but well worth it. Would recommend
The schedule of the day was very well organized, Ivanka (the guide) was very helpful. The wine tasting session was a very nice way to sum up the journey experience :)
