Several days after the Postojna Cave we also visited the Skocjan Caves. The two caves are so different that they are definitely worth visiting. Postojna is tailored entirely to tourism, the stalactites are bizarre and spectacularly beautiful. Skocjan, on the other hand, is the elemental force of nature, not pimped up, but completely original. Unfortunately it is not allowed to take pictures there; on the other hand, it is also an option to look at things with your eyes and not with the camera. The visit to the Lipica Stud had the small drawback that there were no horse demonstrations that day. Anyone who attaches particular importance to this should find out about the days on which such demonstrations are offered before booking the tour with the organizer or the stud. The visit was worth it anyway, because there was a detailed German-speaking tour and you had the opportunity to come into direct contact with the horses in the stables.

We LOVED the Skocjan Caves. We've visited a number of caves around the US and this one was spectacular in comparison. This tour does require some fitness as there are a lot of stairs and a lot of up & down throughout the tour. It was unfortunate that they don't allow any photography during the tour but you can see why, it would really slow down the tour. The area around the caves was very beautiful and luckily we were able to see the beginning of the fall colors. The Lipica Stud Farm was interesting but it would've been nice to see some kind of performance while we were there.

The guide was really good and informative. He was polite, helpful and friendly. Would recommend booking with this tour. It was nice to see one of the best caves in the world. Don’t forget to bring warm clothes with you as the temperature inside the cave is around 10 degree.

Leon was fantastic, he was informative and fun. He obviously loves his country and was enthusiastic to share that with us. The castle and caves are a must see and if you're lucky enough to have Leon as your guide you are sure to enjoy your day.

I unbelievable. A must see for anyone in the area.
