3-Day Cappadocia Tour

2. 3-Day Cappadocia Tour

Göreme National Park and the Rock Sites of Cappadocia were added to UNESCO’s World Heritage list in 1985. Discover these natural wonders on a 3-day professionally guided tour, choosing from Alanya, Side, and Belek departures. Cappadocia, located in eastern Anatolia, boasts a unique historical and cultural heritage. In addition, the landscape of the region’s Devrent, Paşabağ, and Pigeon valleys is characterized by unusual fairy chimney formations. Millions of years ago, 3 of Cappadocia’s mountains were active volcanoes. Volcanic eruptions and erosion of the tuff layers of volcanic ash created the formations you see in the area today. During this excursion you’ll come across a wide variety of fairy chimney shapes, ranging from conical, pointed, and columnar to hat and mushroom-shaped. Visit an underground city and the Göreme Open Air Museum, which features over 30 rock-carved churches and chapels, dating from the 9th to the 11th centuries, and many with interior frescoes. Your guide will take you to the Mevlâna Museum in Konya, the mausoleum of Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi. The site was also the lodge of the Mevlevi order of whirling dervishes. If you like you can choose to see a whirling dervishes show (not included in the tour price).

What people are saying about Konya

We had the best trip EVER! Our guide Metin was amazing! He has been doing this for years and you can just feel the energy. We got a lot of history and information about the region and the country as well. We got to see so so so many beautiful places and had once in a lifetime experience flying in a hot air balloon in Cappadocia. Very recommendable to spend the money for the air balloon - there is just nothing like it. We loved ever second of it. It’s crazy how much you can get to see and experience in just 3 days! Everything went well from the transfer from our hotel in Side and all the way to Cappadocia and back again. The service is on top and the trip was worth every penny! The hotel we stayed in was very nice too and everything was well planned. We recommend this trip to everyone who loves to travel and experience new places that gives you memories for a lifetime. :) Best regards Augen and Ronya from Denmark.

The drive from Antalya is very long and tiring. You first collect other participants to Side, and then change to a big bus. In the evening you reach the hotel, which is more than adequate for 2 nights. The absolute highlight and despite the additional costs not being cheap, the balloon flight is an absolute must. Will remain one of our most beautiful travel moments and we have already experienced and seen a lot in the world. An extra compliment to Metin the tour guide! He lives his job and inspires you all day long with his knowledge, commitment and wit. Fluent in English, German and Russian. Conclusion: very long and exhausting journey, but the hardships are worth it. We can only warmly recommend the tour.

The trip was one of my favourite, bus was comfortable with air-conditioning, the guide was warm person with a lot of knowledge about Cappadocia and all places which we visited, I am glad I met so many kind people on the trip including drivers. Thank you for amazing memories. Recommending to everyone :)

Totally amazing.

It’s a long drive there but it’s totally worth it. There are lots of excursions to do. My favourite was a balloon flight.
