A must-do experience if you are in Koh Samui! The sanctuary is beautifully looked after and the the staff are so knowledgeable and kind. The elephants are so obviously cared for, despite our initial worries. There is no doubt that these elephants have found the perfect home at the elephant nursery. I thoroughly enjoyed preparing the food and learning about the nutritional value of each ingredient and how it benefits the elephants. It was great to listen to how passionate the staff are about elephant care. Please visit this elephant home as they are trying to fund on-site medicine for the elephants!

We were only 4 to do this activity. The welcome is very warm, and we are told about the past of the elephants collected. We then have the opportunity to make food pellets and feed the elephants, all with interesting explanations from those who take care of them. My only regret is not being able to see the park with the 3 other elephants, and only the "boxes" with the two elephants being cared for. But we see there the love of the trainers and the desire to take care of these animals which once suffered from human exploitation. Not too long, it was just what was needed. I recommend !
