Full description

On the morning of your visit, you will be picked up from your accommodation and will drive for approximately 40 minutes through scenic agricultural areas before arriving at the sanctuary. There, you will be met by your English-speaking guide and learn a little about the elephants.

After being allocated bananas and sugar cane to feed to the elephants, you will walk with your guide through the sanctuary, where you will find free-roaming elephants and hear their individual stories.

You can touch, feed, photograph, and interact with the elephants at your leisure while you learn about their stories, lifestyle, and behaviors. Most of the elephants are rescued show or riding elephants, but they are now safe and well cared for at this no-riding sanctuary.

After you have met all the elephants, you will watch them enjoy their mud spa and also be able to join them. The elephants apply mud on their skin as a healthy sunscreen and mud treatment.

Next, you will walk with the elephants, shower them, and join them in the water for a refreshing cool-off. Brush the elephants while they frolic and play in the water.

Once the elephants are clean, you can take some final photos with them, and then it will be time to part ways with your new friend and change into some dry clothes.

Finally, you will be able to enjoy some freshly cooked Pad Thai, delicious snacks, and seasonal fresh fruit. Then enjoy the impressive rural scenery as you drive back to the hotel.

You never get that close to elephants. A very nice experience. It would have been even nicer if the groups had been a little smaller. I would estimate that around 30 people of various nationalities were present. Despite the organizer's request to behave quietly in the vicinity of the elephants, not to scream and rage, many did not comply. Nevertheless, we are glad that we made this trip with our children. You saw the elephants up close and saw that they are doing well and that the people who work there are concerned about the welfare of the elephants and have a close bond with the animals.

Everything was well organized from start to finish. The visit to the elephant sanctuary was also an unforgettable experience. You don't get that close to these animals that quickly. From feeding, observation, washing and photo shooting, we never missed out. The elephants were treated right and never forced into anything. That is why this encounter will always be fondly remembered by the whole family.

The encounter with the elephants is truly magnificent, that's for sure. But... We are sold half a full day while in the end we are maximum 2h30 with the elephants.. We are sold magnificent rural landscapes on the way there and back while we just cross the cities to pick up everything the world then it's 10 mins in small alleys to reach the sanctuary. Finally, for those who take the afternoon, since it starts at noon, we thought we were eating when we arrived and that around 4 p.m. there was a small snack .. well no it was the opposite! they made us eat shortbread (without much interest) with coffee and tea when we arrived when we were super hungry. And we were able to eat only after all the activity, around 4:30 p.m.! Why not just do the reverse? Eat when you arrive then snack at 4:30 p.m. anyway! In short, the organization to be totally reviewed! 2000 baht/person would really be the right price
