1. Libong: Ko Lao Liang and Takieng by Private Long-Tail Boat
Begin with a morning pickup from your hotel on Libong Island. Board the long-tail boat and head to Lao Liang Islands, the last pearl of the Andaman Ocean and part of the Phetra archipelago national park. Jump into the azure water off Lao Liang Pee (Big Brother Island), and Lao Liang Nong (Little Brother Island). Snorkel among colorful tropical fish and see the vast soft and hard coral reefs. If you are lucky, you may be able to catch sight of some small black-tip sharks or even sea turtles. This pair of islands is a perfect destination for those seeking breathtaking Andaman Sea scenery without the crowds. Enjoy your lunchbox right on the white-sand beach of Lao Liang and take in the ocean views. Choose to spend your free time on the beach sunbathing or swimming. Then, head to Ko Takieng, "Lantern Island," a small island with a unique lighthouse, famous for its soft coral. The tiny island also has an isolated beach if you wish to sunbathe in complete privacy. At about 3:00-3:30 PM, transfer back to Hadyao Pier for a hotel drop-off.
