2. Düsseldorf: E-Scooter City Tour

Meet directly at the Rhine Tower, the highest building in the city. With a view of the state parliament and the spectacular Rheinkniebrücke bridge, you'll shortly learn how to drive and have fun on a secure e-scooter Scuddy. Begin by cruising along the Rhine to the Media Harbor, passing several funky Gehry buildings. Leave the yachts behind in the marina and continue on down the Rhine promenade towards the old town. Arrive at the spacious Burgplatz and check out the Schlossturm castle tower. Stay close to the Rhine to reach the Oberkasseler Bridge and the time-honored St. Lambertus Church with its leaning basilica tower. Then cruise past the imposing dome of the Tonhalle before reaching the legendary Fortuna Büdchen, a large drinking hall associated with the Düsseldorf football club. Continue on past important museums as well as the Dreischeibenhaus, an impressive piece of contemporary architecture from the 1960s. Experience the hustle and bustle of Königsallee, which features the best shopping in town. Choose the 2-hour tour for an even more thorough exploration of the city, including the left side of the Rhine. Discover the elegant Oberkassel, a district featuring buildings from the "Gründerzeit" and the Art Nouveau period. See additional sights like the K20, Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, an art collection housed behind a distinctive black granite façade. Roll by the Kom(m)ödchen, the cabaret stage, and head towards Carlplatz, where a bustling market can be found Mondays through Saturdays. At the end of your tour, you'll return at a relaxed pace back to the starting point.

The tour starts at the equestrian statue of Jan Willem, passes the grandiose Rhine panorama towards Schwanenmarkt and the world-famous shopping mile Kö. Not only are historical facts told in an exciting way, but a bridge is also built again and again to today's challenges of climate change - from urban planning measures of the past and the future to modern climate-friendly buildings and the role of green spaces and a contemporary tree population. The tour continues on foot to Kö-Bogen 2, the building with the largest green facade in Europe, via the Hofgarten with its cooling water areas and the opera house to Grabbeplatz, the end point of the tour. In about two hours, the climate walk not only brings participants closer to the city of Düsseldorf, but also shows how the city and the climate influence each other, what everyone can do, even in small ways, and what challenges we will face in the coming decades.

The tour was great. Dieter first instructed us individually on the Scuddy and carefully observed that we drive safely. The parking lot was ideal for practicing. Only then did we leave. Dieter drove shorter and shorter distances with us. He gave brief and informative explanations at each stopping point. In any case, the driving pleasure was not neglected. We can recommend Dieter and the Scuddy Tour to everyone who enjoys a classic city tour with fun moving around quickly. Even in extremely hot temperatures, we had a lot of fun. @Dieter: Thank you for your view of Düsseldorf and the beautiful photos.

Hello, the e-scooter tour was a great success. We were traveling with 6 women and our guide Dieter and that was really great. Dieter explained the scooters to us in a great way and then the ride through Düsseldorf was fun that we will definitely repeat in another city. Greetings from Lorup

It was fun for everyone. The stories about the individual locations were very interesting and the tasks were easy to solve. Only the directions to Uerigen was a bit confusing. We will definitely do this again in another city

We did the scavenger hunt on our company outing and were very impressed. We learned a lot of new things about Düsseldorf and discovered interesting places. We will definitely do it again in another city!

The scavenger hunt kept what was promised. There were well-explained clues that led you across the entire city. The puzzles were all easy to solve and pointed out special features of the city.
