Meet your guide in Kiev, then relax on the 2-hour drive to Dytyatki Checkpoint, the main entry point to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. During the journey a documentary about the Chernobyl disaster will be shown, and you’ll make a short stop so that you can use the bathroom, and purchase coffee and snacks.  Once you pass the police checkpoint and enter the exclusion zone, visit Chernobyl town to see the evacuation memorial, the Lenin monument, the museum of robots, and more. Continue to the Chernobyl Power Plant. Explore the reactor blocks, cooling towers, the new sarcophagus over Reactor 4, and the Prometheus monument.  Head to the Red Forest viewpoint, then visit the ghost town of Prypiat. The tour was very good, driver was very good which is very important for this tour as you Chernobyl is quite far from Kiev and our guide Jenny was excellent. She new the place, she gave us plenty of information and was happy to fulfil our requests (when they were reasonable).

Great tour, does exactly what it says on the box. Our very knowledgeable guide (I think her name was Karolina) was fluent in both English and Russian, and was able to answer any additional questions we might have. She steered us through the area in such a way that we did not encounter a single other tour group. The van had both single and double seaters, which was useful for a solo traveler like me, and USB ports for phone charging. Lunch was mediocre so I suggest you bring ample snacks to get you through the day however it's the only option if you want to have a hot meal.
