Khao Lak: Elephant Bathing and Feeding Tour with Waterfall

1. Khao Lak: Elephant Bathing and Feeding Tour with Waterfall

Get up close and personal with Thailand's national animal on this tour: The elephant. Learn about elephants from expert mahouts — elephant keepers — while you bathe, scrub, feed, and play with the gentle pachyderms in a clean shallow stream. Marvel at the elephants' delicate ability to use their long and strong trunks to grab a small banana directly from your hand. Enjoy their playfulness as they toss water onto themselves, and you, as they cool off in the water. After your elephant visit, stop at the cascading Sai Rung Waterfall in the middle of the jungle, surrounded by lush vegetation and crystal-clear waters. Then, sit back and relax as you're dropped back off at your hotel. Best of all, choose to join the morning or the afternoon tour, depending on your preferences.

Khao Lak: Raft Expedition & Sea Turtle Conservation Center

2. Khao Lak: Raft Expedition & Sea Turtle Conservation Center

Begin your day tour with a hotel pick-up in Khao Lak between 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM, and depart for the river. Hop on a bamboo raft and float along the waters, relax and enjoy the stunningly beautiful rainforest around you as your raft is pulled by a local boatman. Visit a sea turtle conservation center working to save and increase the number of sea turtles in the region. The Royal Thai Navy plays an active role in turtle conservation and baby turtles are brought to the center, where they are nursed for 6-8 months before being released into the sea. Finish the tour with a trip to Ton Pling Waterfall, the most popular waterfall in the area. Experience the lovely atmosphere and marvel at the amazing environment surrounding you. Swim in the small ponds at the waterfall and just enjoy the relaxing ambiance, before being dropped off back at your hotel.

What people are saying about Khao Lak

This tour was absolutely amazing. From start to finish our family had such a wonderful time. The rafting was so serene and peaceful, not to mention the bamboo coffee was delicious. The lunch was fantastic and we had more than enough food to share. Hands down the elephant sanctuary was the best part of this tour. Being so close to these gentle giants, washing and feeding them was unlike any other. I could have stayed their all afternoon with them. Our tour guide Nai was just great. Through the entire day he would share information regarding each piece of the tour to keep us connected through the day. He took so many photos to share with us and kept our girls engaged as well. Thank you Nai for an awesome day!

We had the best day with the sweetest guide, Mau ☺️ we went as a family of four and two friends on the same trip. The trip was as we had hoped for and more. First the bamboo river rafting was very nice & peaceful and the food was perfect. There was more than enough for all of us☺️ Seeing the turtles and the beach was amazing. Finally we went to the elephant home. OMG, that was diffidently worth having that experience. We fed and bath the elephants and they loved it. We live on Karon beach so the drive was 2hours long, both ways but definitely worth it

This was my favorite experience in Thailand! You get so up close and personal with the elephants! Our guide, Toto, was so nice and accommodating! I definitely recommend booking this experience. Loved it!

Excellent trip, highly recommend! The turtles are super cute and the bamboo rafting is a great experience, very peaceful and calm.

Absolutely amazing experience - I was slightly worried beforehand but the elephants were treated so well and were so happy
