1. From Tokyo: Private Scenic Day trip to Kawaguchi-ko Lake

Meet your guide in Tokyo and take the train to Kawaguchi-ko, famous for hot springs, museums, cherry blossoms, and views of the iconic Mt Fuji. You'll be paired with guides that are passionate about the place they call home and who choose to spend their free time sharing it with like-minded travelers matched to them. Begin your day in the resort town of Kawaguchi-ko by bathing in a local hot spring (known as onsen). Soak any stress away in the healing waters before heading to the Maple Corridor, which boasts beautiful red and gold maple leaves in autumn. Climb up the Mount Fuji Panoramic Ropeway for views from 1,075 meters above sea level. Follow your guide to offbeat spots such as the Fuji Omoro Sengen Shrine or Tanuki Tea Shop. Found atop Mount Tenjo this offers a new perspective of Mount Fuji. See popular attractions such as Kubota Art Museum and learn about the ancient art of fabric dying. If you need a snack before heading back to Tokyo, your guide can advise on the best houtou noodle restaurant with great views.

Middle of November is beautiful maple leaves season to visit Kawaguchiko lake. But bear in mind you will see a lot of tourists everywhere. We have accepted our private tour guide Keiji’s recommendation to hire a car to circle the lake, or we may have to wait hours for public bus to go to some points of interest.
