We went at a time when things were really beginning to melt and parts of the cave were unsafe to go in - our tour guide took his time making sure it was safe enough to enter, and he and the other guides really helped us to get through. It was a little scary! It was definitely different (when we went in late Feb) than we had expected, but that was because of all the melting. We had to go in and come out of the cave pretty quickly. It was dark and slippery and felt a little sketchy but we survived. It was an experience for sure!

One of the most amazing tours I've ever experienced. Aside from the spectacular ice cave, the awe of the snow covered landscape, and the amazing hike over the glacier to the cave, our tour guide, Hawk was beyond exceptional. His knowledge of the area, ability to monitor each of us to ensure our safety and humorous personality made for an outstanding experience. Hawk quickly noticed one woman in our group having difficulty walking due to a bad knee, and he never left her side, while continuing to guide the rest of us in the group. He assisted her throughout the cave and wouldn't let her quit when she thought that might be a better option. Having Hawk by her side clearly allowed her to enjoy the adventure and we were all impressed by his compassion. There was also another guide, Thor with another group, same company, who also jumped in and guided us. As I was lagging behind (taking photos), Thor remained with me and pointed out things I would have never noticed! Just a WOW experience!

We had some extra adventure included in our tour due to some technical issues with the van that was driving us to the cave however it was still an unforgettable experience and one to always remember. The guide did his utmost to get us out of the mountains safely.
