We weren't told we'd need flip flops beforehand but there was someone there to conviently sell them to us. We were given the option to get out and walk around the most dangerous section or raft through it. Some of our group didn't want to risk it so we opted for the walk but it was far more dangerous than the rafting; climbing up a sheer rock surface and back down in wet flip flops. The guide also walked off ahead when some of the group were struggling to climb the rocks. A female member from another group arrived by bus but we said she should come back in the car with us to Kathmandu for safety reasons and we had a free space anyway but the driver didn't want to bring her as he said he wasn't paid for that. He wasn't obliged to but he would have happily left her by herself in the middle of nowhere so we had to argue with him to bring her even though he was going there anyway. The rafting itself was great but just very badly organized.
