After departing from Kathmandu at 9:00AM, you will begin your full-day hike by entering the Shivapuri National Park. you will be taken to the gate of Shivapuri National Park, where your guide will pay your entrance fee. A road then leads to Jamacho Gumba, but you will take a hiking path which is about 5 kilometers from the bottom to the top of the hill. In about 3 hours, you will arrive to the top where you will enjoy your lunch. There is a Buddhist shrine called Jamacho Gumba. There you will also discover a view tower which offers a bird’s-eye view of the Kathmandu Valley, and on a clear day you can see the magnificent Himalayas in the north. On a smaller hill below, you will also be able to see Swayambhunath, which is also known as the Monkey Temple. At the conclusion of your scenic day out, you will be returned to your point of origin.
