Come hike a cliff-top ridge thousands of feet above the ocean. Accessible only by foot, this tour is designed to give you an in-depth look of the Nā Pali Coast from a unique vantage point few have seen. While these hikes can be muddy, slippery, and strenuous, you will be amply rewarded for your effort with sweeping views of the most dramatic sections of the famous 17-mile-long Nā Pali Coastline. Meet your guide and hop into a comfortable bus. Witness a change in vegetation and climate as you transition into the "rain shadow," characterized by the arid farmland of the island’s leeward side (the opposite side of mountains from typical trade wind direction). Along the way, pass through the agricultural towns of Hanapēpē and Waimea and learn the important role they played in Kauai's history. Your tour continues across the center of the island, winding along the rim of Waimea Canyon and to the North Shore, 4,000 feet above the spectacular Nā Pali Coast. Rainbow-colored canyon walls and cool mountain air create an otherworldly ambiance that's unlike anything you've experienced. Stop at a couple of the top Waimea Canyon overlooks, including one with a view of 800-foot Waipo’o Falls, before beginning a ridge hike above the Nāpali Coast (accessed from Kōkeʻe SP) or along the rim of Waimea Canyon (depending on the group and weather/trail conditions that day). There, you will enjoy jaw-dropping views of the world-famous Nā Pali Coast. This is a private tour — it will just be you and your private group. Was not an expensive purchase at $14 but well worth it if little is known about the island of Kauai. Easy to initially set up in the app from an active wifi connection & then data is not required as the commentary is pre-loaded and way points identified along the way. We enjoyed most the history of Kauai & many historical stories so well told by the narrator. One tip though is that where the way points are close together, you’ll need to slow your vehicles speed or the narration will simply skip to the next way points - and you miss the end of that storyline. Can highly recommend!!

Our driver/guide, Domi, made this an incredible tour. He was knowledgeable, personable and it was great to be in his company. He obviously loves and quite proud of his home island and brought that love to the forefront through out the tour. Least to say it was the most enjoyable tour in my short visit to Hawaii (Maui/Kauai). We have a wonderful experience.

Excellent hike and activity. Outstanding views from amazing vantage points at both the Canyon / waterfalls and Napoli coast. Jenny (and Bubby the friendly dog) were great guide(s) and we had such a fun time. Easily our best day in Kauai. Jenny’s local knowledge was amazing and we had a great picnic meal / smoothie as well with her during the trip.

just amazing: the app, the narration, the accuracy, the freedom it gave us...highly recommend it a little disappointed (mainly because we were so impressed with the rest of what we got with the Shaka Kauai tour app): the actual on foot trail experience and finding the waterfalls we were suppose to find on the trail (we never did!)

Excellent tour...A must-do to truly experience the beauty of Kauai
