Start your tour at 7:30 AM from your hotel in Kandy, where you will be picked up by your chauffeur. You will be taken you to the Kandy or Peradeniya railway station at approximately 8:00 AM, depending on respective availability.  The train departs at approximately 8:30 AM. Enjoy a scenic ride of about 3 hours through some of the most beautiful highland countryside areas in Sri Lanka. See the vast green hills of the tea plantations and spot the picturesque villages with misty mountain backdrops. Enjoy the amazing sights of intimidating mountains, deep and dark woodlands, and magnificent waterfalls as they go by your window.  Arrive at Nanuoya at 12:15 PM where your guide will meet you at the station, which has been serving Nuwara Eliya for over a century. After you stretch your legs a little, your guide will take you to Nuwara Eliya. Enjoy the thrilling half-hour drive up the winding road. Enjoy walking through the streets with their pretty little cottages, quaint villas, and beautiful mansions. Thereafter at approximately 13:30 PM, enjoy lunch at a restaurant of your choice at your own expense. Afterwards, your guide will show you the most important sights of the town, including Lake Gregory. See the timeless post office and take the opportunity to buy a few as souvenirs. Begin the journey back to Kandy by approximately 3:00 PM. Whilst en-route, visit the picturesque Ramboda Falls and the Blue Field Tea Factory where you would see where the world-famous “Ceylon Tea” is manufactured. Learn more about the history of the factory, which was founded in 1824. After this, depart at 5:00 PM to finish the return journey to Kandy, where you will be dropped back at your hotel at approximately 19:30 PM.

Day 1: Colombo/Sigiriya You will be greeted by your personal chauffeur guide at the Bandaranaike International Colombo Airport and transferred to Sigiriya. Begin you tour at 7:00 AM with a pickup from your guide. First, drive along the famous 18 Bend Road to Mahiyangana. 18 Bend Road is known for being one of the most dangerous and spectacular roads in the world. While the recent road renovations have widened the road therefor reducing the danger factor, it still remains an amazing experience with dramatic views over the valley of Mahiyangana. Your first stop lies within the valley and is of great archaeological value. Sorabora Wewa, also known as the Sea of Bintenna, is an ancient reservoir believed to have been constructed over two millennia ago. Created by damming Diyawanna Oya with a 485-meter embankment, the reservoir uses the natural rock around it to its advantage to form a channel that acts as a sluice gate. Observe this unique sluice gate as you walk along the embankment. Afterward, head to Ulhitiya Reservoir, one of the most important reservoirs in the area. Formed by the damming of Ulhitiya Oya, it is a tributary of Mahaweli River. After learning more about the history of this reservoir, continue on to Mahiyangana. Reach this historic city at about 9:30 AM. Hear about how Mahiyangana is said to be the site of Buddha’s first visit to Sri Lanka. Visit Mahiyangana Temple and learn about its history and development starting from before 543 BC to the present day. See how the temple continues to be a place of tranquility and peace.  At approximately 10:00 AM start your hike to the Dambana Veddah village. Arrive after about 30-minutes and be introduced to the community of locals and see their rustic homes and lifestyles. Learn how these tribes hunt and farm to sustain themselves. Have the opportunity to join a short hunt if you desire or examine their longbows and arrows.   Leave the village at 12:30 PM and return to Mahiyangana. Have some lunch before returning to your hotel, arriving at about 3:00 PM.

The day begins with hotel pickup in Bentota. Travel in an air-conditioned vehicle through mountain valleys and tea plantations to Kegalle, and take in the delicious aromas of its spice gardens which attracted merchants from all over the world to the ports of Sri Lanka.   Continue on to the ancient capitol of Kandy, home to the Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world. Day 01 You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport in the selected cities and greeted by your personal guide and take you to Colombo. Overnight stay at Ceylon City Hotel or Similar hotel on B&B basis. Day 02 You will drive to Rumassala in Galle (approx. 2 hours).
