This full-day tour begins when you meet with the group and drive to ElephantsWorld. Learn about this sanctuary for old and rescued elephants, who will spend their remaining years well cared for in a natural environment. Help care for the animals by feeding them, gathering food and bathing them. Around noon, enjoy a buffet lunch before heading out to see the major attractions of Kanchanaburi. Visit the Bridge on the River Kwai, which is part of the infamous Death Railway, built by prisoners during World War II. Continue your tour with a stop at the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, the final resting place of 6,982 allied prisoners who died during the construction of the railway.

Situated just outside Kanchanaburi, the environmental conservation organization provides the best care possible to the 30+ elephants in their elephant sanctuary, making sure that they work for the elephants and not the other way around. Once you arrive, you’ll have an introduction and safety briefing before tucking into a buffet lunch. After you’ve filled up on some tasty Thai dishes, you’ll prepare food for the elephants to eat before meeting them and giving taking a mud bath together. You’ll then lead them to the river to rinse off the mud before showering and feeding time. After saying goodbye to your newfound friends, you’ll head to the River Kwai, where you’ll hop on a paddle board and cruise through the water while waiting for the sun to set over the horizon.

The experience begins with pickup from your hotel in Bangkok at 6:30 AM and heads to ElephantsWorld in Kanchanaburi. Upon arrival, meet the friendly elephants and observe them bathing, then prepare their food and feed them. Once you’ve worked up an appetite of your own, enjoy lunch and some time to relax. After lunch, gather and plant new food for the elephants, including banana trees and sugarcane. In the afternoon prepare some tasty fruit baskets, then feed them the sticky rice balls you made in the morning. Later, take the elephants down to the river for a bath and scrub them clean before offering up more tasty snacks. The day’s itinerary ends at around 3:30 PM, followed by a traditional dinner. Spend the night in a Thai style cottage beside the river and admire the view from your terrace. Wake up to a tasty breakfast on day two then decide what activities you’d like to participate in. Take a walk with the elephants through the jungle, follow a local mahout up to the top of a nearby mountain, or go for a relaxing float along the River Kwai. Enjoy lunch after your morning activities, then check-out and say goodbye to your newfound elephant friends. At the end of an unforgettable adventure be dropped off back to Bangkok.
