This was a fantastic experience! You must be guided around the Meteora to fully understand and appreciate it's history. The guide was excellent and created memorable memories about Meteora and the Monks. The driver was very good and particularly patient especially when we had many stops for photo opportunities - he even took photos for you which is great for independent travellers! I completed this excursion in one day by train. I would recommend for you to take a taxi to Athens station than wait early for the complimentary hotel pick up. We only visited two monasteries (one a nunnery) itinerary did suggest three. The train journey was 4 hours there and it took 5 hours and 30 minutes on the return (due to an issue on the tracks). First class was not anything special but it was comfortable. I wish had stayed two nights in Kalabaka which is a lovely local village with the Meteora towering over the village. Absolutely stunning. Amazing day highly recommend even with the train journey!

The day tour was exactly as it was described with an excellent guide whose knowledgeable was exceptional. Both the driver and the guide were extremely polite and helpful each step of the way with very good sense of humour too. The views of the monasteries were wbreathtaking and the journey through the mountains was something not to be missed!

The pick up transport provided by the team is the highlight of the tour for me that with a small kids. It really helped alot. The young kids enjoyed the tour so much!

Worth the long train ride to Kalampaka. 4.5 hours to get there from Athens. Meteora is unreal and breathtaking. Happy i went off season.

Lasted the whole day and includes the train ticket in the price. The monastery's were great to see and the views were amazing
