This will lead, on a trail which involves lava-rock hopping, to an upper-tier waterfall and pool which is perfect for swimming. The stream flow can be higher or lower depending on the season, with a higher amount of rainfall occurring at higher elevations. The first tier has a natural waterfall slide that gushes into the pool, which is great for kids. You will then hike further down the rocky stream to an incredible banyan tree with giant roots for climbing down to a larger and more secluded 2nd-tier waterfall and pool, with the option of climbing into the fall. This tour is fantastic! I have visited Maui many times but always stayed in the Kaanapali and Napili area and never visited the other half of the island until now. Spending a day driving to Hana didn"t appeal to me. So I looked into tour companies and came across Get Your Guide. There were openings the upcoming week (end of April) and booked a tour. The van was very large and roomy with comfortable seats and large windows. The highlight of the tour was our driver and tour director, Lisa. She was a wealth of knowledge of not only Hana but of Maui and the Hawaiian islands. I would say the drive to Hana and circle around the lower half of Maui is extremely challenging but Lisa is a pro and continuously filling us with her extreme knowledge while driving with extreme caution. She had freshly made breakfast and lunch sandwiches which we preordered and a cooler with cold water. I would highly recommend a tour with Get Your Guide.

Highly recommend this activity! Felt special to have a traditional greeting. My husband thought this was something that everyone got to experience. It was definitely a nice touch. I'd spring for the rock lei instead of real flowers because it'll last far beyond the vacation.

Our guide was very informative. It was a fun event, including the jump from the cliff into the cool water below the falls! Lunch was great.

Had a wonderful time with our guide Lepa (sp?)…she had so much great information and showed us lots of great spots!

The transport was smooth; the hike was beautiful, and the guide was filled with knowledge!
