It took a visit from our grandson who lives overseas to ignite our interest in taking this half day tour of Soweto, and we were most impressed by it. A huge advantage was that we were fetched from our residence and taken back home. I was impressed at the level of communication from the organisers. our guide, Michael, was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. We felt that we had an authentic experience, and in all, thoroughly enjoyed the morning.

This tour of Soweto was perfect because you get to meet and know the culture of the people who actually live in the township of Soweto. From visiting the Childrens daycare school in one of the poorest sections, to the seeing the local markets and cultural centers this tour is a must do if you visit Johannesburg. And the guides were very informative and of course always willing to help you get that perfect picture or video.

Very interesting experience, we got to know many things about Soweto. The only thing i did not like was visiting the inside of the peoples homes. The way they live is so poor and in some way invading their privacy seems to me just morbid. I would suggest not doing it.

I really appreciated the time we spent in the informal settlement. The guides' explanations were really interesting. the only thing lacking in this tour was the time. it was to short and felt like we rushed from a place to another.

A good occasion to get in touch with Soweto and meet great people.

Just half a day. We had the chance to visit a museum, Mandela’s home, a village with a small school filled with little children. And a great young man with a big heart.
