After an early flight to Amsterdam, we checked in to our lodgings, quickly grabbed lunch and took the tram to our meeting point. Given that we had been awake since about 2:30 that morning, I assumed our group of 21 students were going to resent my decision in booking a 2-hour Anne Frank/WW II walking tour of Amsterdam. I could not have been more incorrect. We were greeted by two of the warmest smiles you could imagine. Our group was then split into two and we were off. Our guides kept us entertained with enlightening information, safe from the whizzing trams and bikers and to top it off, we had a serendipitous encounter with an amazing Holocaust survivor that offered to share her story with us. To say the least, it was an unforgettable experience and our group will be forever grateful! I highly recommend this tour as the first activity any school group books in the city. Thank you!

Your ticket is valid at four sites and each is worth exploring. The Jewish Historical Museum is housed mainly in two former synagogues and had many interesting exhibits about Judaism and Jewish life in the Netherlands. The Portuguese Synagogue is across the street. It was interesting to tour this historic building, which is still in use as a synagogue. Nearby is the National Holocaust Memorial, in a former theatre that was used as a deportation center during WWII. Across the street is the National Holocaust Museum. Although not yet complete, you can see a number of exhibits as a preview.

Very worthwhile to understand Anne Frank's story

Excellent guide - got new insights into the experiences of the Jewish community under the Nazi rule - and the role of the local population in the destruction of Dutch Jewry

Excellent guide who vividly told us details about the dutch peoples role in WWII and in particular how the life of Anne Frank and her family was affected.

Very organized with ear pods and areas to scan throughout the tour for information.
