    Meet your professional driver who will take you door-to-door between your accommodation and Hallasan mountain. After pickup from your accommodation, get some brief information about not only Hallasan mountain but also Jeju's popular spots through brochures and travel guide materials in the vehicle. Find out about why Hallasan mountain is considered to be the spiritual core of Jeju Island and its people. Learn about how back in ancient times, people believed the mountain to have mysterious powers while the mountain also provided useful resources for people to survive. Nowadays, Hallasan mountain is a well-known UNESCO site where travelers visit to hike and explore. Climb up from the beginning of the hiking course and arrive at the check-point within 2-2.5 hours. Once you come back down (the driver will be waiting 4-5 hours for you), your driver will be waiting for you to take you back to your accommodation. Select the Advanced Language Driver option, for a driver with advanced English or Chinese skills who can brief you about Hallasan mountain and answer your questions. The instructor will provide tips and information about major places to visit in Jeju on the way to and back from the mountain, which will be a total of approximately 1.5 hours.

    • There is an extra charge of 30,000-50,000KRW if pick-up or drop-off is outside of Jeju City downtown area (such as Seogwipo & Jungmun)

    Driver was excellent -- good driver, helpful, cheerful. There was a misunderstanding on timing and charging. The driver had estimated we'd be down from our climb by 3:00 and said to contact him when we were 30 minutes from the bottom. In fact, at 4:00 we were still nearing the bottom and we contacted the driver. As we were meeting up in the parking lot, the office informed me there was a 20,000 won cash charge per hour after the 3:00 time. I pointed out that the voucher said 9 hours, but he insisted. So, I gave the driver the 20,000 won in cash. Still, the overall experience of climbing Mt. Halle was worth it, and the taxi ride itself was very pleasant. (Note: there was no "instructor" but the survey seems to require an answer to be submitted)
