Full description
Your private guide and driver will meet you at your hotel or cruise ship, and you’ll head out for a full-day VIP tour of Istanbul. Visit the Hippodrome, the center of sporting and political activities of ancient Constantinople. See the Obelisk from Egypt, the Serpentine Column from Delphi, and the German Fountain of Willhelm II. Continue to the Blue Mosque, dating from the 17th century. This is one of the largest mosques in Istanbul and one of the principal features of the city skyline. It’s best known for its blue Iznik tiles and 6 minarets. Afterwards, you’ll visit Topkapi Palace, the former imperial residence that was the seat of the Great Ottoman Empire. Explore the spectacular museum and its vast collections of Chinese and Japanese porcelain and the treasury of the royal family. Continue to the Hagia Sophia, the magnificent Byzantine Church considered one of the finest and largest architectural works in the world. The last stop on the tour is the Grand Bazaar. In addition to its historical importance, this is a shopping venue that will tempt even the non-shoppers among you with its rich collection of precious handmade carpets, jewelry, leather, and souvenirs. At the end of the tour, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel or cruise ship.

The tour was really great! Well organized and you could learn so much from Metin our guide! Despite our short time - we were in Istanbul on a cruise ship so didn't get to use the 7 hours - Metin was so flexible and tailored the tour to our needs! We were picked up from the terminal and brought back.

The tour in the morning was really great. Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque. Our guide was great. In the afternoon the tide had turned and we were ushered into sales shows. That was unpleasant, we would have liked to have explored the city more. We also had to wait an hour for our driver to come and take us back to the hotel. That was a stupid ending.

The private tour was exactly what we had in mind. Binnur our tour guide made the tour very informative and fun for us. We didn't have to stick to the schedule and were able to express our wishes. The long queues that are common in Istanbul could at least be avoided to a large extent by the private tour. In the Hagia Sophia, Binnur brought us closer to her view of Islam without wanting to proselytize. The Basilica Cistern, which we visited unscheduled, is also recommended. Thanks again to Binnur for the great day we were allowed to spend with her.
