From kebabs to baklava to Turkish delight, Turkish food is famous worldwide. While many people have enjoyed more than the odd kebab in their time, there is so much more to Turkish food than just kebabs, as you will discover on the Istanbul Food Tour. The tour takes you off the beaten track so you can sample the real tastes of Istanbul and experience delicious Turkish delicacies you may not have known existed. Whether you are a food expert or just love food, the Istanbul Food Tour will fulfill your eating dreams. You will meet with your guide at 09.00 am at the Karakoy Sehir Hatlari Ferry station by the vending machines, and you will have your traditional Turkish breakfast at a local patisserie, which includes Turkish menemen, sucuklu omlet, kaymak, and honey. After breakfast, you will stop at one of Turkey's most well-known Baklava shops. Then we will catch a metro up to Taksim/Pera and walk along the famous Istiklal street and give a break for a cup of tea/coffee. In the afternoon, we will catch a ferry from the European side of Istanbul to the Asian side to Kadikoy (Kalkedon ancient name that means the city of the blind), where you will taste authentic Turkish cuisine at a local restaurant that featured on Netflix Chef's table. The last stop will be a family-run wine house. You will have the chance to taste three glasses of regional wines paired with local cheese. And, of course, there are our delicious secret dishes, too.
