Meet with your guide at your hotel and then you’ll set off for your half-day tour of Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar. Starting off at Topkopi, you’ll tour this gorgeous palace with the aid of a professional English-speaking guide. This palace, extraordinary and full of secrets, was the residence of the Imperial Ottoman Sultans and the centre of the Ottoman Empire for nearly 400 years. The building is a typical example of Ottoman architecture, and the rooms exhibit rich collections of porcelain, robes, weapons, shields, armours, Ottoman miniatures, Islamic calligraphic manuscripts, as well as Ottoman treasures and jewelry. Please note that this visit does not include access to the treasury or harem sections, due to the extra entrance fees.   The second stop on this tour is the Grand Bazaar. This is one of the largest covered markets in the world with more than 60 streets and 5000 shops. In this authentic oriental atmosphere you’ll be able to hunt around for interesting treasures of all kinds: gifts, leather clothing, rugs, antiques, jewelry, hand-woven fabrics, and more. The tour ends at the Grand Bazaar.
