The guide was very knowledgeable and funny, super helpful with restaurant recommendations and just a nice guy overall. We were in the middle of a protest for the independence of Scotland, making the tour even more engaging but causing us to diverge a little bit from our route (but he still covered every place and story he originally planned!)

My husband and I booked for a Monday evening walking tour, and were the only ones on it so had a marvellous time. Our guide, Gerard, was exceptional, very friendly and very knowledgeable! He took us for a gentle stroll around the city centre while recounting Inverness’ incredible story and how it played a large and important part in the rest of Scotland’s history. We visited the Castle and all the important historic buildings, as well as crossing the river a few times. Gerard is a born story teller and we learnt what a great place Inverness was, and still is!

    Great walk through Inverness

Although I try to take the hop-on/hop-off buses on every first visit of a new place, I prefer walking tours. You have more time to stay at interesting parts of the place that you visit and I think you get more information about what you see from the tourguide. Very much enjoyed the walk through Inverness.
